Spitting up... everything.
So, about a week ago I posted something about being able to eat lots of salad and larger portions ...but then suddenly...for the past 4-5 days, I haven't been able to eat ANYTHING without sliming, spitting up, regurgitating whatever I eat for 30 min- 1 hour afterwards! Even one bite of anything with texture feels 'stuck' and eventually comes back up.....What do I do....? go back to the fluids stage? Addition: I was sleeved May 15 (approx 9 weeks ago??)

Why can I eat so much!?
Yeah, it was easier when I was very strict for the pre op and post op diets... now I feel like its a free-for-all and I'm going back to my old ways... maybe I should try every other day fasting or something just for discipline....some way to get back on track....

Why can I eat so much!?
I'm about 8 wks post op and have been doing really good... I think? I'm down 42lbs since day 1 preop, but have stalled and gained a few pounds back... I feel like I'm able to eat way more/bigger portions already... not intentionally, but lunch today I had a (what I think was a BIG) salad, and yesterday I ate two large lettuce wraps stuffed with chicken, etc.... I'm worried if I'm eating too much and that's what's leading to my weight gain....?? Should I still be trying to stick to 600-800 cals a day? I am desperate to reach my goal... Please help!!

Did you keep your surgery a secret?
I've told my partner and my parents. That's it. I told everyone else I was on vacation, and went back to work a week and a half later. If anyone asks about the liquid diet I've said I'm on a liver cleanse. It's not that far from the truth... haha...

Tips for breaking my 3,4,5 week curse (i mean stall)
I was gonna stay away from 'breadstick' remark... haha... but in the interest of post op diet...cant help but wonder... exactly how many grams of Protein do you get from licking a 'breadstick'?? I'm stalled at the 3,4 week mark as well. I've always managed to lose 2 lbs a week when I've dieted (a million times before). I'm in ketosis, I'm still on full fluids... around 500 cals a day... and nothin. It's weird. I upped my cals and gained. I've exercised, nothing. It is irritating, for sure!!

2nd thoughts
I was scared and had a lot of second thoughts prior to surgery. I prepared myself for the worst in my mind and the first few days were pretty rough, but not impossible. I feel very fortunate, but honestly...for me the experience has not been that big of a deal. Very little pain post op, no real hunger, etc. I'm on week 4 of post op liquid diet... which is long, but it's not hard. I did have a LOT of nausea and vomiting the first few days after surgery but the worst part of this experience so far has actually been the anxiety and fear prior to surgery. There are risks, but not as many as some websites report. Take a deep breath, do your research, mentally prepare, choose a great surgeon and embrace the change. You can do this!!

anyone not lost hair after taken Biotin?
well... my hair is very thin and fell out a LOT after my last surgery (not related to sleeve) so I started taking it a month prior to surgery. I haven't noticed any difference EXCEPT..... my eye brows are thicker and I'm getting hairs on my chin and moustache. Thinking about stopping it... but then... I've never had a beard before... so might just see what it's like!

2 week pre-op liquid diet!
2 weeks high protien, low carb. Then VERY strict- One week full fluids, one week clear fluids prior to surgery. It sucked. BUT, it helped prepare for the 4 weeks of liquid post op.

Gym 2 weeks post op
I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow and felt fine so went for a run tonight... I felt good and did almost 5km... slow pace... and I walked a few times. BUTTT.... feeling pretty gross now. dizzy and kinda nauseous. Ugghhhh. I'm still on full fluids stage ...so I don't know if I'm just nutrition/ electrolyte crashing or if it was just too soon. drinking water, powerade and peppermint tea... but probably won't try a workout again for a few days.

tired of being lectured on here
I hope that the sleeve is the sollution to your battle, and that it works, but it might be a good idea to get some metabolic testing done as well. No lecture, just a suggestion.

My stitch is poking me
Mmm... unicorn soup and rabbit stew. Not eating anything but slop right now makes me kinda bitchy too. That, and my burning sensation... but let's not talk about that.... ;P

My stitch is poking me
Ok... I guess i'll just wait it out... ...I'd always been told that a burning sensation after something poked you was a bad thing.... ;P

My stitch is poking me
Next to one of my incisions, I have a stitch that kept poking me through my skin. So yesterday, I pulled it out a little and clipped it (hoping that it would start to dissolve under the skin) now it's just poking me from the inside! Owwww.... It pinches.... Anyone have this problem? how long will it take to dissolve....?

I want pizza!
As someone that has struggled with bulimia and binge eating for over 15 years, I can say that (from my personal experience and also hours of therapy) chewing and spitting is a dangerous game and it DOES increase your hunger. But, we're all responsible for ourselves, so if that's what you want... do it. Also, this forum is for sharing advice, facts, links, and information to help one another. There's no need to get defensive. Now... Should we talk about cheese burgers instead of pizza???

I want pizza!
Obviously not 'ok' for liquid stage, but someone posted this a few days ago: NO DOUGH PIZZA!!!!!!! This one is a WINNER!!!! Gluten Free, Low Carb, Diabetic Friendly!!!!!! For when you absolutely want pizza but not all the carbs!!!!!!! Crust 1 (8 oz) package of full fat cream cheese, room temperature 2 eggs 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese Topping 1/2 cup pizza sauce 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese toppings - pepperoni, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers Garlic powder Preheat oven to 350. Lightly spay a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. With a handheld mixer, mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread into baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, our until golden brown. Allow crust to cool for 10 minutes. Spread pizza sauce on crust. Top with cheese and toppings. Sprinkle pizza with garlic powder. Bake 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Honestly..
It wasn't good, but is impressive what you can get through if you have to. I didn't get sick, but it made me feel gross for about 30 min. You can do it!

I want pizza!
What about... a little bit of cheddar cheese soup with a dallop of strained pizza sauce mixed in. It's a stretch from real pizza but cheese soup is pretty yummy....and it's all purée.....????

Disolvable sutures...
My incisions have basically healed, but still have these little pieces of fishing line poking out. Will they eventually go away on their own?

Stall... already?
