  14. I havent tried it yet... but bought one of the hormel meats that have gravy...bought the pork and gravy....I am gonna have that for dinner tomorrow pureed. I thought this would be perfect cuz it has the it is precooked and have plenty of gravy to use in the puree process....
  15. I have to say I was total opposite...I told my family and a couple of my closest friends...I was afraid at first but I wanted the support of my family. The only person that I had an issue with was my brothers wife (she is a know it all nursing students). We dont even know each other, so I just blew her off...But everyone in my family was very supportive and now both my parents are thinking of doin it too.

  19. Today I am 11 days post op and just enjoyed my 1st pureed meal....I chose bland because everyone kept warning me bout spicy...so I opened a can of chicken breast and a can of cream of chicken Soup and put a table spoon of each in my bullet and pureed and then heated it up...ate bout 2/3 of it and it tasted good. What were some of your 1st pureed foods?
  20. Well...The fact is we were all FAT. I can say for myself...I come from many generations of OBESE family members. One thing to remember on here is that none of us know each other personaly. It is only normal to assume you had some bad habits. I know that I did...there were foods that I didnt enjoy very often so when I did have them I would over induldge...but at the same time you would find me at the gym several times a week for the past several years. For me the more that I worked out the more I gained. So the best thing to realize is these people dont know you and they are only giving you information based on what they know to best answer the questions you have...if you dont like what they say just dont take their advice. We are all here to learn and hopefully encourage...all our drs. give us different guidlines.
  21. O dont you worry bout that, you will have plenty of pain meds that you wont have to worry bout menstral cramps...you will have enough other pain and soreness that your period wont be an issue at all!
  22. Congrats...Your pics look amazing
  23. Congrats to both of you are your post op success...Each person is different..if you have more to lose than I have to lose you will lose alot more in a shorter amount of time. I am 10 days post op and down 16 lbs and happy with that.
  24. I think you will begin to notice a difference when you start to have thicker liquids...if you....I cant say that I have felt full but I have signs of fullness like I start to do little burps/hiccups and I know to stop, based on group meetings
  25. Not sure what the book can really tell ya, but I will tell you this much...everything you are gonna need to know you will find out from your surgeon, nut, and support groups if you have one in your area, and this forum...dont waste your money
