  1. Well this is more before and during....... Sleeved 7/29 and down 41 pounds! Yay me!
  2. I have gotten some nice things from Freecycle. Also you can wear your clothes a bit baggy to jump a few sizes, clearance racks, ask friends for hand me downs, I am down 40 pounds and haven't bought any clothes yet. When I get to my goal, I will splurge
  3. I sent you a PM and never heard back. Did you sell everything?
  4. Great job!!! Wow that's a lot of weight lost in 4 months! What are you eating and how much are you exercising? I am 2 and 1/2 months out and down 40 with a similar starting weight.
  5. Wow. You are doing great!! I am at 208 down from 246. Are you doing anything special? Eating a strict diet or exercising a lot? I just joined a gym and entered a weight loss challenge. I really want to get to onederland but it is taking me a while to get there. Any advice??
  6. I just joined a boot camp/ cardio interval training type gym. Totally out of my comfort zone. I like the structure of the trainer guiding us through. I put my blinders on and just focus on myself. So far so good. Everyone has been nice and helpful. It's time to get out of your head and Just do it!!! That's what I keep telling myself everyday.
  7. Am hoping to kick up my weight loss with this challenge over the next 6 weeks. I am aiming for at least 20 pounds. It's guided interval training/ cardio classes. I hope I can do it. I was sleeved 10 weeks ago and have lost 36 pounds. It is slowing down a lot already. I have 59 more to go. I hope this will work!
  8. Yeah, this is one of the many reasons I only told a select few people in my life. That really stinks. People need to mind their own business!
  9. I was sleeved 7/29. I am down 35 pounds at 212 from 246 SW. I too weigh myself each day and leap at the smallest weight loss and grumble when I gain some back. I lost 25 in August and 10 in September. I am sick of not seeing big numbers so I am going to get my ass into interval training at a local boot camp type gym. I am starting this weekend.... Wish me luck. At least now I feel up to trying this, before at 246 I would not have been able to. So baby steps I guess!
  10. I noticed you said that this was your PCP appointment not the surgeon correct? A lot of primary doctors are not educated on other specialties as well as they think they are. My PCP said the same thing. But at the same time she didn't even know what a gastric sleeve was. So take their comments with a grain of salt. Have you met with your surgeon and his staff yet? Have you gone to a support group meeting? A lot of people lost their comorbidities and illnesses after their weight loss, maybe they are focusing on the negative because it means less sick people coming back to them as a PCP?!! Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Think for yourself. Don't let one persons rumblings throw you off. Any idiot can go through medical school to be a PCP nowadays. I did not fall for my PCPs pessimistic view, I am now 2 months post op, less 35 pounds and excited about the rest of my life for once!!
  11. I have heard this since I was a little girl!! So done with it. How does anyone think this is a compliment? To me it means, you would be a lot prettier if you weren't so fat! Just come out and say it. These are the people I will think about while kicking some butt at that class!! I hope I survive it!
  12. If I had a dollar for every time I heard this phrase........, I hope I never hear it again!! I am 2 months post op and have lost 34 pounds. I am kicking it up into high gear and joining a boot camp type fitness place on Friday. I am determined to lose this weight!! Who's with me?? I want a beautiful everything!!!
  13. I was 246. Now 213 at 8 weeks. From size 22 to 16. So I lost 33
  14. I have had the sleeve a few months ago and am currently going through testing to see if I have MS.
  15. Have noticed my bad habits creeping back. Please tell me what I should be eating at two months out. What worked well for you? I am not eating any rice, pasta or bread thankfully. Just a bite of pumpkin pie here and a handful of sliders there. Need to get back on track. I do have a nutritionist but I'd like to know what has worked for those of you that have been successful with this. Although I am ecstatic to have lost 30 pounds in 2 months, it has slowed tremendously and I know it's my fault. Please help
