I swallowed a lemon seed
You might drink a little extra water to flush it out, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

What weight did you start at? Congrats!

What foods can you simply not have anymore?
I'm 10 weeks, haven't been craving anything really. Heavy carbs or fatty/creamy/buttery things are too much for me, can't handle more than one bite or two then I feel ill. I'd mentally love to eat pizza, but the thought of actually eating makes me feel ill. Wish I could get more veggies down. They agree with me (cooked ones at least), but I just never get more than a bite after my protein, too full. I have found that ice cream, roasted pumpkin seeds, and alcohol (all no-nos) go down just fine I can't stomach carbonation at all, not even the tiniest sip.

Peppermint or Wintergreen?
This is correct. If you are having any trouble with acid backing up into your esophagus (many sleevers do), then maybe trade mint for ginger or chamomile tea. I used to drink a lot of peppermint tea, but have since stopped. http://umm.edu/healt...herb/peppermint

Anyone try green coffee extract with the sleeve?
Thanks, Bell. Anyone who loses 15 or 20 lbs a month wouldn't need it with the sleeve. The effects on triglycerides and cholesterol, as well as A1C were very interesting.

Worried about enjoying food after surgery? Don't be.
Happy vacation and great post. I think Mexican food is the easiest cuisine to eat healthy, for me anyway. Have a wonderful time!

Does anyone else get this comment..........?
It's probably because you are very attractive, combined with your height, as others have mentioned. You know it is unhealthy, so bravo for you for making a decision to change it.

Anyone try green coffee extract with the sleeve?
Has anyone tried green coffee extract to boost loss for slow losers? I saw this article http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20064576 There does appear to be some success in studies with chlorogenic acid, found in green coffee, with weight loss. My resting BMR is only 1345 calories per my nut, the result of years of yoyo dieting. I would really like to to lose more than a pound or two a week. I do walk for exercise but with bad knees, arthritis, etc. it's not easy to burn more than a few hundred extra calories a day. I'm also off caffeine since presurgery.

Insecure husbands?
I just googled the divorce rate for wls and found many anecdotal articles that the rate is 75%, and 85% for those who were obese prior to marriage. However, although I found these articles I couldn't find the original studies to support them. Remember, the general divorce rate is 50%.

I got hit on!

The annoying new habits that came to be with my sleeve...
Lips, thx so much for posting this, a great laugh for the day. My 20 yr old son is my mealtime taskmaster: don't eat too fast! Take smaller bites! You've had enough, you'll get sick!

When can i eat salad?
My dr said 4months for salad.

I want a soda
Even at 9 weeks I can't handle carbonation at all. I desperately wanted to try a tiny taste of beer at a recent festival and thought I was going to puke. No carbonation for Sleevette.

really want goodies
Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Nibs - 1 calorie each. Cocoa nibs covered in dark chocolate. One or two of these flavor packed nuggets takes care of a sweet craving for me. They come in a little tin.

Will you lie about the surgery?
I chose not to share and to be vague about the surgery. Only my kids and hubby know. I just didn't want to deal with the discussions, good or bad. I'm just a private person, and I know the rest of my family would have been difficult. At the end of the day, it's no one's business but my own.

My pre-op and post-op diet
This is not far off from what my dr and nut have me on, so you are not alone.

Does anyone know the reason?
Basically, raw produce, with all of its fiber and peels and strings and everything that makes crunchy/tasty/textural, can also be too much for a sad little sleeve trying its best to act like a full size tummy. Everyone's healing rate and tolerance level is different, but as Wags noted above, when you over do it, it hurts. The nuts all seem to have different opinions, too. I can get down cooked fruit and veg (no peels) and fresh salsa. My dr says fresh salad in December (4 month mark).

Am I wrong?
