What happens to the girls ?
I work out 1-3 hours per day including lifting (pecs are nice and strong-- with floppy pancakes attached). I also wear compressions everyday and take good care of my skin.... If you have a miracle exercise to add to my regimen, PLEASE let us know! Have you found the secret and aren't sharing???

To your sleeve???...Why would it???

Method of Payment
I paid with cashiers checks-- That is how my doc preferred payment.

What happens to the girls ?
Yep, pretty accurate.

At what size...
I'm a size 8/10 (133 lbs) and I'd consider myself average / slightly large. Can't wait to be "thin"!!! ... Well, I don't know about thin, but I do want to be a bit smaller.

What happens to the girls ?
My boobs stayed perky Cs... Until the last 10 lbs. LOL. When measured, my band size has gone down but my cup size stayed the same (but a much droopier, wrinkled version) ... Hopefully getting that fixed later this year.

Will it work?
I don't think any of us (no matter which surgery) woke up one day and said, "I think I'll have wls surgery today." There were many MANY failed attempts at weight loss before resulting to altering our bodies. But also I have to say, this is what you make of it -- you still have to change your eating habits, your food choices, and you still have to exercise. You have to work it.

Ignorance regarding weight loss surgery
Being an RN as well, I see this all the time. I just think it's funny that the same doctors who prescribed me Adipex as a TEENAGER (yeah, like THAT was healthy) judge me for having wls.

Ideas for celebrating goals
For Onderland my prize was a bicycle. I had never learned to ride a bike before! I had made a list of goal & rewards I wanted before I started to lose weight: a bike, a certain watch, specific clothing, a mini vacation... I just hadn't realized how quickly I'd lose the weight! $$$!! lol

Uuugggghhhhh!
Crazy. It would be much cheaper not to go through insurance ( sad but true). Robbery! I paid $9600 in the US as a self-pay. So insane-- hope you get some better news than that!!!

Body image issues
I also have that issue-- not realizing the weight I've dropped. In my mind I'm still morbidly obese & always will be. But more than that, I actually dislike what I see in the mirror... When I'm wearing clothing, I think I'm beautiful... But when the clothes come off, it's a mess. I was more confident (naked) when I was larger. (Actually, I have a boudoir photo shoot booked in a few weeks. I'm hoping this helps me view myself a little differently). It's so strange- not something I expected. Regardless, I'm happier healthy.

What's better? Unjury or Isopure Unflavored Protein Powder?
I like Isopure, but "unflavored" isn't flavorless. It does change the flavor of some foods-- some for the better, some for the worse.

IVE STOPPED LOSING! PERFECT

Please Help! Urgent
WHAT are you eating?... Not all calories are created equal. And you make it sound like you aren't eating enough... Could that very true? Following all the other rules? And you don't HAVE to be on liquid protein if you had surgery back in June.

Is anyone else having blood sugar issues since your sleeve?
I had the same issue, especially once I started increasing my cardio- my doc suggested increasing my eating- worked well for me.

How do you measure your food?
Would you say that you weigh all solids (meat, veggies, cheese, etc). And measure semi solids and edible liquids? And how much do you eat at one meal?I eat 2-3 oz of solid food at a meal. I weigh out my meat (example: chicken) and don't usually weight or measure my veggies bc I can usually only eat about a couple tsp-tbsp of veggies. If it's a semi-solid or thicker liquid, I eat about 3-4 Fluid ounces (like chili, Soup, yogurt) Thanks for that. I made chili tonight and weighed the entire batch ( and then divided it by 12, which was just over 4 ounces) so I could figure out the calories per serving in MFP. I just want to make sure, I'm doing okay. One more question. How many time per day do you eat? My Nut wants me to eat just 3 times per day with no Snacks, but I like to have at least one snack per day, usually a Quest bar to help my sweet tooth at night or some almonds or a cheese stick to bump up my Protein a little. I really don't understand the problem with a healthy snack as long as I'm staying within my calorie goals. For example, today I had 3 full meals, plus a quest bar and a cheese stick and my total calories for the day are 741 and 73g protein and with exercise my net is less than 300. At first I was told no snacks as well. But when I started running, I quickly learned (after a couple episodes of hypoglycemia) that I needed to eat a little more. My doc actually suggested I eat more after looking at my food journal, lab work, and hearing about my exercise. On days I run, I take in a little more carbs, while on days I do weights or other workouts I take in less carbs and more protein. I typically eat 5-6 times per day now (keeping in mind I workout between 1-3 hours per day) my meals are about 3 oz while my snacks are about 2 oz.

More Questions running around in my head....
1- probably so. I stayed out of work much longer but I am expected to dead - lift a persons body weight. Lol 2- Pain seems different for everyone. Some people cry and complain about all the pain-- I didn't have any true pain. I experienced nausea the first 24 hours and never took pain medication after the surgery (although I was sent home with a big bottle of liquid Lortab) 3- I only had 2 weeks of liquids, so I can't speak to that. But I can say, I was not ready to move on to solids, I was very comfortable sipping on my shakes (lots of ppl feel this way). Insurance covering shakes?? No clue. I was a self pay anyway, so I doubt mine would've been covered. If your surgery if covered, awesome for you. 4- they go along the line cut in you stomach-- and hopefully they stay there. 5- I can't say for sure, but they will probably make new incisions to avoid scar tissue and improve chances of healing. 6- you will sleep on your back for a few days. Benadryl might help. lol

Restaurant eating:
Having lunch at one of our fav places today. I'm 9 mos out, and here's what I ate: 2 rice less rolls, 2 shrimp, and veggies-- not the healthiest, but not bad when it comes to eating out. Just wanted to give others an idea of what it's like to eat out now.

Not enjoying food:(
I feel so free by not getting so much joy out of food as I had before. I hope I never do. I love the "eating to live" lifestyle. But I also never felt like throwing up each time I ate... Are you eating the right types of food? No gallbladder issues? Are you able to get in your protein at this point? Do you think this is mental or physical?

Omg you had shrimp!! I am 7days post op and I am a seafood love and just saw a red lobster commercial and questioned if I could ever have shrimp lobster crab ... This just mad me happy! I find seafood is the easiest to eat- shrimp, crab, fish, crawfish. Lobster tends to feel a little "heavy" in the sleeve, but I can eat NEARLY a whole tail (with nothing else).
