  1. How soon after surgery are we talking??
  2. That's funny bc most Drs will tell you they prefer solid over liquid protein. I'd ask your surgeon to be sure this follows his/her plan.
  3. Quest bars are my favorite. I like most flavors, but my favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough.
  4. Curious about riceless rolls. Can you explain or describe? ThanksNo rice for either raw or not: raw fish with a little sauce, maybe a speck of avocado. Or regular cooked rolls with no rice: made the same way with either seaweed or soy paper on the outside- they can also wrap it in thin slices of cucumber. Here's a photo I took earlier this week when eating with a friend: rice at top, no rice at bottom
  5. I did not (out-pt surgery). But each doc is different.
  6. I'm not a believer in "all things are ok in moderation." I'm happy not to eat these things now. I'd rather fill my belly up with other things. And now I order sushi / rolls without rice- yum!
  7. Yes. My hunger is out of control during my TOM. Also, if I run during my TOM, it seems to NEVER end! I just eat what I'm supposed to, track it, and skip the weigh-in that week (because it's never good--- lol).
  8. Today's menu: B: Protein bar 21g L: egg w/ laughing Cow& cheese 14g S: 1/2 apple w/ PB 7g D: meatloaf and veggies. 21g S: hot chocolate w/ Protein Powder. 23g = 86 g of protein May add an extra snack before dinner if needed, probably Greek yogurt w/ protein powder 14g
  9. Besides not being on medication, you should be able to twist at the waist without hurting. Be safe.
  10. Let me start by saying, it won't give you the life you hope for- it will give you the life you WORK for. For me, it was 100% worth it, I have zero regrets. If you're an outpatient, I'd suggest someone stay with you for the first 24 hours. Just because if you were to have a complication, I wouldn't want young children having to be the ones who deal with it (example: death--- yeah, I know that's harsh, just making a point). Will people guess? Probably so. If you drop that much weight that quickly, people are going talk. But it still your business, not theirs. You choose what you want people to hear from you.
  11. June 11, 2013 HI!! Down 105 lbs. (thought 100 lost was my goal, but I revised) Feeling great! How about you??
  12. Thanks y'all! It's so hard to believe beyond "you have such a pretty face..." LOL. Someone called me "hot" the other day.. I just stared in disbelief. Lol
  13. Starting weight: 240lbs Height: 4' 11.5"

  16. Before/ during (posted in another thread previously)
  17. I made a goals/reward list. But I lost weight so fast, I couldn't keep up with it! LOL
  18. You'll find that each doctor is VERY different.
  19. @ 8 months post-op: B: 3oz oatmeal L: omelette- 1egg w/ cheese & sliced turkey S: Quest Protein bar D: 3 oz chicken w/ green Beans S: 1/2 an apple and 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
  20. Thanks! And I never knew they made pasta! I'll have to check out the website!
  21. Oh wow. I feel so bad for you guys. I did have my surgery outpatient (which is what I chose/wanted) and had very little discomfort. - no need for any pain medication actually. Hope your journey gets better/ easier!
  22. You are doing well. Just keep at it.
