eerica30 got a reaction from RAAinNH in Honestly, who has had zero problems
I had my surgery 5/16/13. I also ended up having a hernia repair unexpected. Who knew! I took pain meds for 4 days. Took off work for 10 days. I feel great. No problems so far. I can't imagine something popping up all of a sudden. I have lost 29 pounds So far. I have absolutely no regrets what's so ever.

She is supposedly writing a diet and exercise book. She wants people to know that she did it the old fashioned way. I think her book could potentially be successful if she went from 300-160 or less bur not so much at 190-200. I wonder how she is going to explain how she once called all skinny women who diet constantly b_ t_ hes.

First off, this is normal at your time. Second, it's not like you can go backwards. The great thing about the sleeve is that it can't be reverse.
I'm about 2.5 years out. I can eat about half a panini slowly now, even the bread. And save the rest for later. It takes time to learn how your sleeve works, but after just a few months, you won't really notice it.
And after a couple of years like me, your new eating arrangement will seem normal, and you won't be able to understand how regular folks eat such absurd portions and meals. This way is way better, it just takes some time.
    Keep your head up!

You hit the hammer on the nail! Not sure if that's how it goes lol! I totally agree with you. I'm having surgery May 16th. I'm so excited about the change. I weighed out the pros and the cons. The pros out weighed my social food gatherings! Having this surgery is just a boost. After the surgeon does their job, you have to do yours. It's not a quick fix. No offense to anyone. I like this site for its honesty. No one should bash any one for their true feelings but it's also good to hear the true feed back.

I take all Gummy Vitamins and my surgeon only said to make sure I chew them up really well before swallowing. I use the multivites gummies and the only thing they don't have in them compared to Flinstones complete is Iron. I was just sleeved on Monday and don't have any issues taking them. Are any of you I'm northern Cali? I found a store that carries them and other Calcium chews and they are very reasonably priced.
I attached a picture for you the chews were 2.99 and the others were 5.99 a bottle

I was an emotional eater, loved food. Everything I did surrounded food. Still to this date I go out to eat and have learned to order small Protein first always. I push my food around a lot. I would drink 8 coke zeros a day. Since January 9th, Water only and don't miss my friend (coke zero my fix) at all. I will tell you when I got my first meal at the hospital and it was an oz of Soup and an oz of Jello, I thought oh crap I have really messed up. I had my surgery January 9, 2013, and nothing taste as good as it does when I slip on my clothes and it feels AMAZING. I now eat to live, and don't live to eat. I would do it again, and feel better than I have in years. It was not easy, but it is possible for a better way of life and health. One day at a time, it is worth it to me.

No! I mean I wondered...what have I done when I felt awful the first day after surgery--but that quickly passed. I am still enjoying the same social things with my friends and family. No one even seems to notice that I don't eat or that I eat a lot less than everyone else. I keep myself busy talking and/or serving or cleaning up (no wonder I am such a popular guest! haha). Also, I bring healthy foods to gatherings, like mixed berries with a Greek yogurt sauce for Easter and they are a HUGE hit. Everyone wants to be healthier. And I get my friends to join me in healthy activities like taking walks together or going to Water aerobics.

    You look amazing.
(Disclaimer - I'm a guy and I think like a guy) You're right in a group of three girls there's sometimes 'the fat one' but there's almost always 'the hot one'.
You're lucky you have supportive long term relationships with them. You've gone from 'the fat one' to 'the hot one' in 7 months. Most girls would be insanely jealous!
