  1. Where do you get this? I'd love to try it!
  2. I know eventually I'll probably end up getting it out. I just need a break and more time to heal from the other two surgeries. I looked at my bcbs account online this morning....Everything since April is almost $80,000.00. I bet they are hating me right now...LOL
  3. I've only lost 22 pounds since surgery and i'm 7 weeks out too. 45 pounds is great!!!!
  4. duh...not left pain...I have right side pain. I need a nap!!!
  5. Update on Gallbladder scan....no stones but i got sludge in there. They called it biliary dyskinesia. Have only had very mild left side pain. Dr. said the sludge "could" turn to stones. I don't know what to do??? Should i get it out or wait and see if stones do form? Also, unrelated to gallbladder. Today my pouch is grouchy and crampy....first time since surgery i've had cramps in my pouch that were this uncomfortable.
  6. I eat 4-6 oz. of whatever i want for my main meal. I snack on cheese sticks and crackers or whatevers in the house during the day. I'm going to start drinking my protein shake at night to help with hunger. I'm a night owl and find that i really get the munchies after 12 am. I'm a very slow loser also and I know it's because of food choices. I'm too set in my ways to start chewing on a celery stick. Totally not my thing..LOL I'm OK with losing slow as long as i lose something. It's not a marathon race for me anymore. I increased my calorie intake to 875. In a few weeks i'm hoping to get to 1000. My surgery date was April 22 and lost 22.5 lbs....50 something more to go till i hit my goal weight.
  7. I'm not a rule follower and thank the heavens above that after 4 weeks my nut said i can try anything in moderation. Just to make sure i get my protein in and try to keep it low carb. If you give me a set of rules...i'll break them! Which is why diets ALWAYS failed me.
  8. I haven't dumped either. I've had carby stuff and did ok. I have not had anything with real sugar...I guess the fear of dumping is keeping me at bay. But i would like to know if I'm a dumper or not???
  9. ooops...i just seen that you said upper left pain. I don't have a clue
  10. Sound like your gallbladder? I have a similar pain...it's dull and i feel it in my back. I had a ultra sound today. I have no gallstones but I do have biliary dyskinesia. Waiting to hear back from my Dr. to see what the next plan of action will be. Possibly a gallbladder function test. Good Luck and hope you find out soon what's going on.
  11. Looking GREAT!...and good job on the walking!
  12. You look fantabulous!!!
  13. I cut mine in half until i was about a week out.
  14. For me, if i can't have something that makes me want it that much more. My nut has cleared me to try anything. Nothing is off limits as long as i eat it in moderation and get my protein in and stop at the first sign of fullness. Life is good and i love my tool
  15. I caved a few weeks ago. Throughout the day I ate a whole sleeve of ritz crackers. Also..for the fizz factor and my caffeine habit I always have a open can of coke zero in the fridge (my guilty pleasure). Take sips of it off and on. My surgery date was April 22....21 pounds lost.
  16. I really have not had a fitness routine since surgery...but all that's about to change Monday! Getting my rear in gear!!!
  17. wow, sounds like that was a horrific experience.. I think a few times i had mild sweating and rapid pulse, but no pains. Curiosity of the unknown has really got me wondering though :/
  18. I can relate!...I'm a slow loser too!!!....I see so many who have lost double of what I've lost in almost the same amount of time. I keep thinking it's going to kick in anyday. Anxiously waiting!
  19. I had a piece of pepperoni pizza tonight...crust and all and didn't dump. I know it's crazy to say this but I just want to dump on something so i can see what it's like!!!
  20. I do...i find myself mindlessly taking drinks after I eat. Hard habit to break!
  21. I also try my best to stay low carb and sugar. Wondering how much is too much though. I haven't tried to eat a real sugar anything.....afraid if I do, i'll start a bad habit up again if I don't dump on it.
  22. Man, i'm glad my Dr ordered the scan asap....If it's my gallbladder, i'm scared of having a full blown gallbladder attack. Going to try to really watch what i eat. My pouch is empty this morning...nothing but water and my right side is fine now. This pain kinda is like the incisional hernia i got after surgery...but not nearly as bad. Hoping the scheduling lady calls me today to get the scan setup soon.
  23. What a terrible experience that must of been!!! Glad you got it out and no longer suffering that pain. Bet you were glad to already had it out when you had rny....One less problem that could happen with being post op.
