  1. Congrats on the weight loss so far. I'm losing very slow too
  2. My diet sheet says my meals will be 4-6 ounces per meal for life. I'm 2 months out and can do that easily now. I guess if I go over that I will stretch your pouch. I do know when i eat meat i get satisfied quicker. Funny observation also....if i lay on my belly i feel hunger pains??? What's up with that i wonder?
  3. Glad you feel better Krystal...can't imagine what passing a stone feels like
  4. I never even thought to ask how many ounces a fully healed pouch will hold without stretching...Does anyone know?
  5. I have been at the same weight for a week and stepped on the scale and gained two pounds!!! So sad and depressed today feeling like i did all this for only 20 something pounds!!!... I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. Since our body is in starvation mode for getting less than 1200 calories a day...won't the calories you burn during exercise put you even more into starvation mode? This has really confused me?
  6. Scrambled egg whites and a Earl Campbell Hot Link...measured out to 5.5 ounces. I gained two freaking pounds and just want to bury my head in the sand today!
  7. What test did he do in the office to see that your pouch was dilated? Did he say how it happened or why? I had my surgery in April and i feel like i can eat more than others also. Losing very slow. Congrats on getting insurance approval to fix it.
  8. So very sorry Dorian :/....I wish there was something we could do to help your pain. Hang in there. Prayers your way.
  9. Wow girly!....Love fitness pal...but always get a bad feeling after i hit the submit button to publish my food intake for the day. Don't you hate every time it tells us we are eating too few calories and weight loss will be slow if we don't get 1200. It's slow for me and i'm up to around 1000 a day. Still losing at the same rate as when i was eating 500????....I just don't know :/
  10. Wow, i bet that was fabulous to hear!!! How many calories were you getting? I actually think I'm eating too much :/ Do you weigh or measure your food?
  11. Where are you from Terry? I sure would welcome that cool weather! I'm in Texas....some places were pushing a 100 today. Too early to be this hot!
  12. I got the whole wheat bread. I agree...nothing like a fresh sandwich made by someone else especially in this hot weather!
  13. Wow girl!!!! That is amazing!
  14. Subway...Chicken/Bacon/Ranch Melt...OMG, i missed it so much and my pouch is very happy right now. I'm allowed 4-6 oz now... I ate 5 ounces of goodness! The sandwich weighed 7 oz....I will eat the other 2 for my late night snack...yum, yum.
  15. Oh yes, very normal to second guess your decision. I made a point not to tell anyone about it so they could not sway my decision. Only my kids and hubby and later i did tell my mom. I went as far as deleting all my groups and all the info on my computer about rny...It was a real struggle making sure it was the right decision for me and in the end....I'm so happy I did. You will just know if you need to move forward. Listen to your gut and don't let others sway your decision. Good Luck
  16. I got my medical id bracelet in the mail today. There is a seller on eBay selling them for 29.99. They are sterling silver and the engraving on the back is free. Just wanted to let you guys know you don't have to spend much on these. I like this one cause it does not have that red cross or whatever that symbol it is that comes on most medical ID bracelets.
  17. Gone to bed early (for me) with my laptop and looking at ya'lls post. I lay on my belly usually but turned over on my side cause i had a itch. I felt my ribs a little. That moment made me smile despite my pouch being grouchy! I really enjoy all of you April peeps and so glad we have a place to share our ups and downs during this crazy journey ...(((Hugs to you all)))
  18. I'm not able to throw up...but if i could I would right now! Something about lemon herb chicken and green beans is not agreeing with me!
  19. My diet sheet from my dietician says i can have one caffeine drink a day.
  20. This confused me also until someone on here said that they measure liquids and weigh solids ...When was your surgery?
  21. I started saving my protein drink for my late night snack. Really does helps with the hunger. I actually like them so it's something i look forward to.
  22. Yummy! Going to eBay now!!!
  23. Yes...i was just talking to hubby about our out of pocket for the year and that i should really get it out before January. I'm thinking possibly August if the pain does not get any worse....but if it does, I'll do is sooner. Just hate it...cause we are going on vacation July 5th and don't won't to be bothered with this!!! Must be this June air causing grouchy pouches. TMI...but, been "pooting" and it's helping a bit
  24. Scrambled egg whites and a Earl Campbell hot link....Doing it the ATKINS way tonight
  25. I have bcbs of illinois. It took about 5 business days to be denied and about 5 business days after the appeal to get approved. My first office visit was Jan. 31, 2013. I had to have one visit with a dietician and a psychological evaluation. My surgery date was April 22, 2013. It all went pretty fast for me.
