  1. I had surgery Monday (12-31) and lost 6 pounds today from yesterday. Who knows? I am drinking liquids and resting a lot.
  2. that was the hardest thing for me. i stopped 1 month before surgery. i still miss it.
  3. I quit in June using Chantix. I tried many times before. This time, I knew it would work because I wanted to. I did it for myself and my family. I had surgery on 12-31 and loved that smoking wasn't an issue. I think about it still but know I made the right decision to get healthy. Good luck!
  4. I had surgery on Monday. I had 2 days liquid pre-op diet but no citrite. I'm home a feeling good. I need a lot of rest, though. The gas pain was the worst for me. Sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk! Good luck!
  5. I had surgery 12-31 also. stayed 2 nights in hospital although they would have let me go after 1. drinking no problem for me. once i got rid of gas, i feel good. jello, broth, juice for meals. hope everyone is doing well!
  6. At the hospital I ate broth. jello, juice. coffee and water. I did not walk the day of surgery because I was so dizzy. Yesterday and today no problem walking. I got a b12 shot today plus I took a multi vitamin. I take lots of cat naps. good luck.
  7. I am 2 days post op and feel pretty good. The first day I was real sore. It almost seems like a fog because of the morphine I was on. I feel pretty good now considering I just had major surgery. It was easy for me to hold down water. I am optimistic. I'm not the least bit hungry yet.

  10. my surgery is monday and i'm psyching myself out by this pre-op liquid diet. I tried isopure today (not horrible but not good). at least it's only for 2 days. hurry up monday because i am hungry!
  11. My surgery is on 12-31 also. I've known for 2 weeks. The closer it gets, the more nervous I am. Not about the surgery but about the recovery. I read so many stories about pain, getting enough liquids/protein in. leaks, etc....

  18. My deductible has been met! Thank goodness. I can't believe how fast all those appointments add up! I had my pre-op yesterday. All my appointments are done! My surgery is on 12/31! Lets keep each other posted! Good luck!

  23. Honesty is always the best policy! I am not ashamed of having surgery. Some people have told me not to do it while most are very happy for me. I didn't want to get caught up in a web of lies.
