I got approval in 3 days from Preferred One. My surgery is 12-31-12. Happy new year to me. Hopefully, your insurance won't take too much longer. Hang in there!

My first appointment I had to take a 600 question personality test. What a joke! Then after the results were sent back to the psychologist and were discussed at the second appointment. I thought it was a joke, honestly. I feel they just make you jump through hoops. Good luck!

I would tell them. You can't believe they won't notice your rapid weight loss. If you see them regularly then tell. It's only a matter of time. Don't be ashamed, be proud that your taking YOUR life into your hands.,

I was interested in the band at first also but after the seminar I changed my mind.. I didn't want the long term maintenance. I am nervous about surgery 12-31-2012 but I choose the sleeve. Hopefully all goes well!

most headaches are caused by dehydration. are you getting enough liquids?

I see him again 12/11. The dietitian told me he requires a 2 day liquid only diet. I had to lose 5 pounds also. Hopefully I made the mark since I do not have a scale at home. As of last week, I lost only 2. I'm doing the old stand by-no carb approach.

My surgery is set for 12-31-2012. That should be an easy date for me to remember. I have not received approval, but the surgery coordinator sees no problem and decided to proceed. I have done all required appointments for insurance . My journey has been fast and easy. I went to the seminar late October and 2 months later, I'm scheduled for surgery. Sometimes I wonder if it went too fast.Some people seem to have a terrible time. Hopefully, I'll get the word and start 2013 much healthier!

I just feel bad for the folks that meet the criteria, make themselves available for appointments, then get the 'runaround' . Sometimes I think my hospital is making it too easy! I didn't mean to mess with your feelings. I just hate to depend on others for my health.

My process has been a whirlwind. In less than 2 months, I've seen all the necessary people. My surgeon has scheduled my surgery 12-31. I am waiting on insurance approval but the Bariatric center foresees no problems with that. I have to meet with the surgeon again 12-11. pre-op class 12-20, pre-op physical w/ pcp 12-21. I hope all goes well! Excited but nervous!
