  1. I feel the same way. Am I really hungry? Do I have reflux (I don't think I do)? Am I head hungry? I do need work getting my protein in but I have a gnawing feeling in my tummy. I'm a week out tomorrow.
  2. I was saying the same thing last week! Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Use pain meds!
  3. you're almost done..hang in there!
  4. 12-31-12, Minneapolis, MN, Dr Dan Leslie,6 since surgery
  5. I feel bad for you..I was sleeved 12/31 and I can drink and swallow with no problems. I have no pain but I do get tired easily. I think something is wrong with me because I feel no restriction. I wish I could help you. Do you have medicine for nausea? I'm eating cream of wheat, thin cream of chicken soup, sf pudding, plus lots of liquids, sf jello, popcicles and whey protein shots (yuck!). I hope you have good pain meds and get good rest. Best wishes!
  6. 4 days is not enough in my opinion...
  7. your lucky! best wishes!
  8. I thought I was the only one like this. I can't tell if I'm hungry or full. I am 5 days post op. Drinking, swallowing pills, walking, hardly any pain..I can't believe I just had surgery.
  9. I only had a 2 day liquid before surgery. what are your instructions before surgery? My date was 12-31. I'm 5 days out and doing well.
  10. my hospital told me it shouldn't matter. as long as your comfy.
  11. Protein powder is awful! I do the whey slammers because of the size (3.7oz). It tastes like crap but I can do it fast. Remember this is only temporary!
  12. I had surgery on Monday (12/31). I did not have much pain, just pressure. Are you able to keep everything down? I've had no problems so far. I'm thinking maybe this is too easy.
  13. stress is a killer! I smoked over 30 years and for me it's pure will power! if I had one, I would have 20. I can't do it. I worked so hard giving them up to have to do it all over. plus i think of all the $ I'm saving, my health and I no longer smell like an ashtray!
  14. my recovery has been easy! I am able to drink with no problems. I have not thrown up. Protein has been a struggle because of taste. I started at 230 and now 219 since surgery. I keep thinking something is wrong because my recovery is too easy.
  15. My surgery was Mon(12-31). Today I am 5 days out. I didn't know applesauce was a no no. I had some 2 days ago. I keep thinking something is wrong...I can drink, swallow pills, little pain (gas)...
  16. If you quit, why would you ever start up again?
  17. I haven't had to cut my pills at all. I can drink without no pain. Is this normal? I had a protein shake, cream of wheat. chicken broth. 4 sf popcicles, crystal light and water today with no problems. I must be doing ok, right? I'm tempted to try and eat some mashed potatoes.
  18. it's hard to get protein in. not because of drinking difficulty, because of taste!
  19. i got them at amazon. i got a variety pack of whey protein slammers. the taste isn't great but at last it was only 4 oz. 42 grams of protein!
  20. I still am taking pain meds. Not because of terrible pain but to take the edge off. I can drink a lot. I don't really have to take tiny sips. Protein drinks are terrible! I had some vanilla shake and a watermelon protein slammer today. It helps to sweeten them. I'm not hungry at all, yet.
