  1. Definently will get better. My Mojo was dead prior to surgery and as the weight drop I got my mojo back lol
  2. Has anyone lost around 130 pounds, had breast lift with augmentation then got pregnant? What did your boobies look like after? did you need to get a new boob job done?did you already have kids prior to your boob job? I have a total of 130 pounds to lose, I have lost 92 so far and I hate my boobs. I have 3 children already and dont plan on having any more for another 5 years. When I get to goal I wanna get breast lift with augmentation but at the same time don't because I know they can sag. I cant help thinking how much can they possibly change though? with all the weight gain I stretched them out allot and 3 pregnancies . I never was able to breast feed so I wont be this time and Now that I have vsg I wont gain that much weight if I do get pregnant 5 years from now! is there anyone out there that has been through this? What do you think? what was your experience? Thanks
  3. Before going for VSG I went to medical weightloss and felt that I was going to be paying money for what I already new how to do (eat low carbs small meals veggies and protein)but my will power was too weak I couldn't keep it up. So, I decided to save my money for the plane ticket instead to get the surgery very happy and satisfied with vsg surgery.
  4. Try L'Oreal hair thickening strengthening shampoo for falling hair it worked for me.
  5. Has anyone noticed that their period symptoms have gotten worse post op? I have been on my couch for 2 days in a row badly fatigued, tired, out of breath when I stand up, and dizzy. I increased fluids ,took iron supplements and ate really good. Today I feel allot better day 6 of it. But my anxiety levels are higher than normal it just really sucks!!!. My last period lasted 9 days so I'm not sure how long this one will. I hate it wish I was a guy. I exercised today so I hope that will help with the hormones going wacky.
  6. I know its easier said than done but patience is all I can say. I freaked every time weight loss slowed but as soon as I said I don't give a @#$% no more it moved down. Keep up the great work and try to weigh once a week only and measure your self too.
  7. I was obsessed with food and loved eating ALLOT of food. After VSG If I overeat at all I get uncomfortable and simply cant. I have not read yet about persons that regained the weight or stretched their sleeve but one guy who drank diet soda like crazy. With VSG no carbonated drinks because it stretches the sleeve. I didn't get RNY or bypass because of the rerouting and the fact that it can be stretched out because the stretchy part is not removed only part of it . they also are mal-absorption surgeries. So down the road deficiencies of fat soluble vitamins is seen and require injections for replacement. That's what I found as I researched. With VSG the complete stretchy part of the stomach is removed. As others have said all WLS are tools that HELP us. We need to put the right things in to get good results. Its ok to indulge once in a while but for the most part protein then veggies and fruits. Good luck on making your decision.
  8. I stalled around that time too I think allot of people do your body is adjusting to the new way of life It will pass you will lose and stall then lose then stall. In the end you will lose the weight and that's whats important Dont let this bring you down keep up with everything you have been doing
  9. I've lost 70 % of my access weight. started at 288 and im 196 now. I'm almost 6 months post op. thats 92 pounds. My goal weight is 150.
  10. I get bored of the same thing but its usually cottage cheese, cheese sticks , Fiber one cereal , a fiber one bar if I'm desperate for sweets, pop corn air popped with pam spray and seasoning, tuna mixed with salsa on a thin bread with melted cheddar cheese on it, Greek yogurt.
  11. my hair started falling out badly at 3 months post op. So as you have I came to this website looking for help. One member mentioned loreal for falling hair its a black and red bottle , I got it from Wal-Mart. I didn't think it would work because the problem was internal (decrease vitamins mineral and hormones gone wild after surgery)and shampoo would be used externally. It actually worked! my hair now falls out about 75% less than before. I'm glad I gave it a try. I also added infusion conditioner its a great hydrator. My hair has become dull brittle and dry after surgery this conditioner really helps.Oh and a spray in leave in conditioner after the shower. I had hair model hair pre -op and would get complements all the time about my hair. But I'm 92 pounds lighter so that's what's important. Good luck and I hope this works for you if you start to lose hair. Oh yeah I also read that some people have not lost hair at all.

  14. I had gastritis post op and my doc put me on omaprazole 25 mg for 8 weeks. It gives your stomach relief from acid to heal an let the swelling go down, It was painfull but after 5 days I felt better. Hope you do too.
  15. Good subject to talk about, after VSG surgery everything changes. Definently increasing calories helped me too. I have a lite muscle milk after exercise it has lots of potassium and 20 grams of protein in it.
  16. If you plan on having children in the future I would wait till after thats all done because getting pregnant can mess them up. If your all done I would wait till you get to goal because you want them as firm and lifted as possible. Also You wanna make sure all the access skin gets removed. Congrats your almost there
