  1. Are having this issue and are you being treated by a dr here in the states now?
  2. Slightly over 2 months out now and just getting over the stomach bug today. I survived on Popsicles and nibbles of crackers, but other than that I lived. Ain't fun though!
  3. South Carolina.. Beaches are awesome and a sept trip would be cheap. I'm up for anyplace except a cruise. I'm an explorer and need to be out and about
  4. Laura, you can have my tee shirt that says "I lost my stomach in Tijuana, MX"
  5. I would do it, too! There wasn't much I didn't do soon after surgery. Just don't be lifting anyone up Pink Floyd .. That's awesome!
  6. I used liquid Dial antibacterial before and after on my torso (excluding my vagina) I used my normal froufrou girls stuff everyplace else since the antibacterial is so drying and harsh.
  7. I wrote this sale here, but I still feel it Getting on a horse and not have it look back at me as if it's asking "and who should be riding who?"
  8. Umm... Ok, I'm going to ask the obvious because maybe I missed something. If it's numb how do you feel the fabric on it. Heh.. Just asking
  9. http://www.livestrong.com/article/313171-health-risks-of-carbonated-water/ I never drink carbonation because my Mom always said it will age the skin via robbery. No clue if that's true, but I have never looked my age so I like to believe that's why
  10. Welcome and all I can recommend is do your research on things to expect (good and bad).. The more you're pre-informed the happy your journey will be. Now about your name.. It may just be me, but it reminds me of deep fried tatars or hostess HoHo's (Spanish)! Ok.. I'm pretty sure it's just me Enjoy VST!
  11. Mistake in editing template file? I get very few pm's so I don't know... I'm unloved! ;-P
  12. Thank you for sharing... It's a wonderful view of the positivity of the sleeve. Enjoy your life, you deserve it and good luck with your hopefully expanding family
  13. Did they give you possible reasoning for your temp? If they aren't concerned then they should be able to tell you why they have no concern. I would ask
  14. There are good and bad hospitals in the states too, just as there are in MX. I don't know where this hospital is, but we were perfectly safe where we were and we spent a lot of time out and about in Tijuana. Like others say, do our research and talk .. I mean TALK with other sleevers who have first hand experience with the drs you are considering. I've had several surgeries in many different areas of MX and so have my daughters.. I feel completely confident in my choice because I researched long and thorough enough.
  15. This is why some of us disagree. We are not embarrassed, ashamed, liars, vain, or bitchy.. Yet, because we make the choice to keep our business private we are called names? We don't say anything wrong on here, other than try to make others understand our feelings about being private... Sheesh!
  16. Not sure why this is a man room topic because it happens to us all. :-P It sounds like you irritated your stomach/esophagus area and that's why it was hard to eat for awhile. Slow down or you won't be able to get your little meal in and keep it down. May want to pre measure you food so that you know exactly when you should be done. I do because I've gone to far and regretted it. Good luck!
  17. Yep, right along with you! I'm in a more-than-I-can-remember week stall. Oh, well..I'm eating healthy and that was one goal I've met. Not to say I wouldn't be thrilled to lose some, though. Don't sweat it, because it won't help things. Stay positive and don't get down.
  18. Glad to hear you're on your way to a healthier life... Congrats! I must disagree with your comment about the Lucerna hotel. It's a four star right along with the Marriott and we also had on the spot service when needed. We actually stayed an extra night instead of going stateside.
  19. When I have my bi-yearly cat scans the they make me drink Barium (chalky stuff) and it actually comes in a couple flavors. But the gastrographin (fluid from hell) used for the leak test is clear and flavor is added to cover the bitterness of the iodine
  20. Did your dr specifically say no catheter was used? And I agree the snipping isn't anywhere near urine anatomy. If not cateter related could be anesthesia related and will return over time. But drs know best!
  21. Yeah.. I'm fairly certain the air quality sucks too!
  22. WTH... I weigh more than you on Jupiter
  23. http://m.obesityhelp.com/magazine/RestaurantCard.html Maybe have you PCP sign it or just sign it yourself with your surgeon # on it?
