I'm 24 and am scheduled for Wednesday!! I'm so excited! I've debated doing a blog, but I'm not sure how many people I want to know about my surgery. The reason being that WLS is looked at as "taking the easy way out". But I may change my mind!

I was sleeved October 3rd. I'm down 25 pounds plus 10 pounds from the pre-op diet. I had a couple of days of bad eating, but I'm back on track! I actually gained about 2 pounds, so now I'm down to my 35 pound weight loss. My new favorite lunch is 3 oz deli turkey and one slice laughing cow light Swiss cheese. I bring that for lunch to work everyday. I made some crustless ham and cheese quiches that I bring for Breakfast. I eat 2-4 of them. They are about 40 calories a piece. I'm aiming for 600 calories, but sometimes I don't make it. I do try though!
I really feel like this is one of the best decisions I've ever made!

I don't mind! I got the recipe from The World According to Eggface. If you go to the website, scroll down and look on the left for "BITES". She has a lot of them. I left out the green onions, tomatoes and mushrooms so if you do want those go to the website lol
    5 eggs
    1/2 diced onion
    1/4 lb ham
    1 cup shredded cheese
    1 tsp butter
    1 tsp basil
    1 tsp oregano
Sauté onion with butter until brown. Add in ham and sauté for another minute
Beat eggs. Add everything into the egg mixture.
Lightly grease a 24 count muffin pan. Pour in
Bake for 30 minutes at 350
They aren't that high in Protein, but it's so easy for me with work.

I'm not going to starve myself either. I'm only 4 and a half weeks post op, and I usually get between 500-600 calories. And I'm not going to go to the gym for 3-4 hours a day either. Why? I work full-time, have a husband to cook for and a house to keep clean! Saturdays are spent with my horse and horse trainer and Sundays are for me and my husband. Yes, I do walk but not for 3 hours (except at the barn where I don't sit down for 4-5 hours plus riding multiple horses). I don't want to become addicted to something. I am addicted to food, and that will always be a lifelong battle. I've already made mistakes in my diet, but I'm human. I picked up and moved on. I'm actually headed to the grocery store in a few to get healthy/high Protein stuff for the week.

I will be 3 weeks out on Wednesday. I can start having fish and moist meats. My husband and I love Japanese food, and I won't give it up (but I am giving up the rice and noodles). We don't go a lot. He was really wanting it tonight, so I did a bad thing and went ahead and ordered scallops. I could only eat one and ate half of a piece of the hubby's shrimp. It was so good and so filling. I was very thankful to have some substance.

I had a semi formal banquet I had to attend. I'm only 2 and a half weeks post op. The options were beef, chicken or mahi mahi with potatoes and veggies. I was good and only ate a little bit if the potatoes. But they brought out dessert and it was creme brûlée cheesecake!!! I told myself since its very soft (I'm on puréed foods) I could let myself have a few bites and not eat the crust. It was like I couldn't stop myself. I ate about 3/4 of it without the crust. It made me so nauseous but I never got sick. That's definitely the worst thing so far. I know I will mess up again and again so I didn't beat myself up.

Sounds like I might just stick with the full liquids and only add in boiled eggs, grits and potatoes. Pureeing meat doesn't sound good to me lol

I am eating some applesauce now. It is not sugar free because I want to see if the sugar and carbs will make me feel better. I'm taking tiny bites and I'm eating it slowly. So far so good! My stomach is gurgling but it doesn't hurt. My stomach does the same when I eat yogurt. I hope this makes me feel better. I have only been getting between 10-20 grams of carbs a day. I think I might try to up it a little and just play with it to see how it makes me feel
