Your stomach can and will stretch. It's a muscle. However it wouldn't happen over a short time of a vacation. You gained weight from bad food choices not from stomach size.

Remind yourself that its much easier to get pregnant without the extra weight. Site plus is when you do start trying it will be that much easier
I do know someone who got pregnant 5 months after surgery. It was an oops baby but she carried to term and the baby was healthy. She continued to watch her diet while pregnant.

I have a Protein Bar for Breakfast every morning. I also eat raw fruit as a snack and raw veggies. I've had no issues all on my allowed list and I'm just shy of 2 months out.

I'm wanting a size 10. It's less about the number on the scale and more about size. I'm tall with larger hips and breasts (will be large with weight loss since they were big in my you get years).

I look at my plate and realize for the first thanksgiving in my life I won't be able to finish the small amount or go for seconds. I was able to have a bite of everything I like and was done.
It feels good to walk away but what a serious moment of reality that this is a whole new life!!

You will soon understand. Don't get me wrong I am blessed to have the sleeve. However, it's just a tool and it doesn't cure the food addiction. If it came with a lobotomy maybe, but you still have your head thinking about the food. That doesn't stop once your sleeved. You still think about, you still want it, and if your a control freak like myself it will be challenging like it is for myself. I am 5 wks post op, my idea of Thanksgiving besides enjoying family is enjoying food. Enjoying food has yet to happen since I've been sleeved. It's hard getting in the Proteins I need to waste a "meal" on something I "want." The sleeve isn't just as easy as the surgery, it's an addiction that has to be cured. The easy part is losing the weight, but there's a lot more to overcome. Gamblers don't quit gambling and stop thinking about it, smokers don't quit smoking and quit thinking about it, etc. I think a support group to help with food addiction should be part if being sleeved. I hope this makes sense and answers your questions. I am blessed and I would do it all over again. I'm happy with my decision, but I'm struggling with my addiction.

Cereal is allowed in my diet. I don't have it often and typically since my lunch and dinner are seriously Protein filled I don't concern myself too much with that part. I've lost 50 lbs in 7 weeks and ive not avoided much of what others do. I think it's all up to your dr, nut and your body

I do not use drugs in any form...I'm just not that person. However I was reading the discussion and wanted to say there is no proven fact marijuana does or does not kill brain cells.
I have my BA in medical science, one of my main studies has been chromosone research. One of the last studies I did was the effects drugs have on your body and brain. With that said....
Marijuana's active ingredient is THC (much longer name I wouldnt be able to spell out using my iphone keypad). THC is what makes you "high" it will bind with certain receptors in your brain and interferes with normal brain function. Thus the feeling you/some get of being off balance, sleeping, hungry etc etc.
However THC does become inactive. It does not "kill" brain cells. It temporarily alters them. If you (you being a blanketed term) did full research you would know the entire idea of "killing brain cells" started with a compaign to end teen drug use. It did not start in the medical field.
I'd also like to say Pinky's ex husband didnt sit on his behind smoking all day because of weed, he did so because he was lazy.
In the end its your body and you can do as you see fit with it.

I have severe back problems. I am in desperate need of surgery but presently do not have insurance so I am unable to have it. Every night, I have one or two drinks. They help me to relax and help me to sleep. Otherwise, I am awake all night from the pain. However, even without the back issues, I will continue to have a drink at night. It is a great way to unwind, that, however, does not make me an alcoholic.
I worked in a psychiatric and substance hospital for 13 years. Lets not confuse enjoying a few drinks with alcoholism. They are two completely different animals. An alcoholic wakes up in the morning craving a drink, same as a drug addict wakes up craving their drug of choice. An addict is willing to sacrifice their way of life, their families, etc. to have their drug/drink of choice. They must have their drug or they will actually experience physical symptoms of withdrawal. That is a huge difference between enjoying a drink in the evening or going out with friends on the weekend and planning on having enough drinks where you need to designate a driver ahead of time.

My mother takes pain medicine when her fibromyalgia flares, my friend has a Xanax every now and again to combat an anxiety disorder, my DH has a glass of wine several times a week while cooking dinner, pre-sleeve I drank about a bottle of wine every weekend...are we all "addicts"?
WAY out of line. I grew up with both a father and an aunt who truly were addicts and I don't throw the word around lightly. You'd do well to do the same.
