VitaleEM reacted to bbkipps99 in pink stuff? anyone make it. good protein and flavor
We used to make this all the time. Then i looked at the ingredients and tweeked it to boost Protein.< /p>
    U need
sugar free Jello (strawberry, cherry or other flavor) un-made small box
    Whipped creme
    Can of fruit
    Protein powder(unflavored)
Container (medium size)of fat free cottage cheese
    Pour cottage cheese in bowl
    Add jello mix package
Add 1/2 ish of whipped creme/cool whip
Add fruit after straining most of juice
I add 2 spoons of protein powder(spoon as in the one that came with the powder)
Mix put in fridge for an hr or so
The cottage cheese has 19g protein per serving then boosting that with the Protein Powder.
    It taste good.
I made some with rasberry and used too much cool whip so i would reduce it to 1/2 bowl of whipped creme. U can always add more cool whip. Im going to try and make it individually too
The pic is how it will

Ok first off, what is 'normal'? There is no normal when it comes to weight loss. Everyone is different. Secondly, you have lost an average of 3.9 pounds a week since surgery! HELLO! That is not slow. It may feel like it to you because you can't say I've lost 150lbs in six weeks but 4 pounds a week is not slow by any means!
Take you time. Slower is better for skin issues in the long run anyway. You are doing fine. Keep doing what you're doing and it will all come off eventually!

I know exactly how you feel, but from what I have learned here on the forums is it will happen it is normal. When I started this thread I was in a panic. I found that upping your exercise to more intense really helped quite a bit. So just keep doing what your doing follow all instructions given and you will get through this.

Just have to share an awesome Protein source I came across. costco sells Kirkland-brand Frozen Turkey Burger Patties. They are 200 calories and a whopping 35 grams of protein! I've looked at other brands - Jennie-O, etc., and they only have 16 grams of protein.
Thought someone could benefit - I eat them daily now! They come in packages of 12 for $10 and change.

I'm currently in my first stall that has lasted nearly two weeks. I'm at the 7 week mark. I'm still waiting for a break in this stall! My cousin (in the picture with me) is many months out and says that she experiences three weeks of no loss then drops alot of weight for about ten days, then repeats the cycle! My fingers are crossed for all of us! :-)

If you are exercising regularly, you might be strengthening or building muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat so many people actually gain a few pounds when they become more active. Even though muscle weighs more, it is denser so you might be losing inches. Try measuring yourself to see if that could be the case.

Dr told me to monitor calories and try to get 1000 per day..... I'm not even close! All I have been watching is Protein and vitamins... Dr said I am not eating enough to lose weight! Go figure- from too much to not enough in 5 short weeks!

I have had the same worries because I am losing very slowly but it is coming off. I am starting to notice my weight loss trend. I typically lose a pound every 4 days. I am only eating 800-1200 calories a day and I think it was way to low for me. My doctor did a metabolic rate or study and I burn 2400 a day so I think I need to be eating more but unless I add slider foods I just can't add any more Protein to my diet- too full. I am just going to keep, keeping on.

I'm not sure but I'll share something that I am doing. In several posts I have read that 10 lbs a month is a reasonable expectation. So I set a "dream goal" for weight loss for the same time every month at an estimated 10 lb loss per month and I entered these in my cell phone calendar. On November 26 I have a dream goal coming up to be at 186. I have already passed that goal and am 181. Now I can either keep my December goal where I had it before at 176, or change it to reflect a 10 lb loss from what I weight on the upcoming date of November 26.
I know this really doesn't address your exact question, but it might show you that you are doing better than you think.
As a side note, I was very stalled for several weeks. Then suddenly I started going to the bathroom a lot. My body had been holding on to a lot of Water. Probably because I don't really drink enough. The stall broke.

I just saw my doc last week. He decided not to back off on my thyroid meds yet. He thought it would be best for me to run a little higher while i'm still losing so much so that my thyroid doesn't have to struggle to keep resetting itself. Did that make sense? It did when he explained it to me in his doctor mumbo jumbo!! He wants a TSH complete blood check every 2 months instead of every 6 months.

Calories 600-700 carbs under 20. Walking daily. I give up. If I cant loose doing everything they said to do why even try anymore?

Whatever you do, don't give up!!!
I've had two major stalls since my surgery at the end if June. Each lasted 3/4 weeks and it gets frustrating because of the expectations we place on ourselves for the surgery, I'm learning that's not the way to think. I just broke that second stall. I'm here to say it will get harder mentally if you start letting yourself think like old you. I don't mean just the food habits. I mean, you are strong, you are worth it! Keep staring down your goal and you new lifestyle! It's so worth it!
I have to become a snob about food to keep myself on track the best. When I see junk food, I start making myself think, "eww, you put that in you body!? Do you know what's in it? All those chemicals and..." You get the idea. I politely refuse any that is offered.
    Just don't give up!!!

Perhaps you need more calories, not less. Everybody is different. The calorie total one person needs is not necessarily what you need. But if you're active and working out daily and putting your body into an extreme calorie deficit, it will hinder our weightloss. Every time I've upped my calories I've lost weight. It usually takes me about 5 days or so at an increased calorie level to see the weight loss begin.

I was not losing any weight at 400-500 calories a day. Saw my nutritionalist and she told me I need to get 600-900 calories per day. Since I have upped my calories and get 60-90 grams of Protein in I have been losing 3 to 4 pounds a week.
