  11. I am so excited for you to start your journey! I do take PPI and it controls any problem. I never had any acid issues before my surgery. My doctor is now telling me that there is a procedure now that will take away the need for people to take any PPIs at all. My acid problems actually seems to be going away. I am under goal! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleeve. I had it a year ago. I cant get over waking up in the morning and feeling thin. And then I look in the mirror and geez. I think wow! Pivot, turn..yep it is me. Especially like how my back norrows to my waist! You have a lot to look forward to! There is nothing I cant eat with the sleeve. It is crazy easy. And no dumping, sluggishness, malabsorption issues. I used to love chips and candy. Not anymore! One candy and I think...well, thats kinda good but to sweet. I have 2 huge bags of chips and a huge bag of cheezies in my pantry. I have to toss them. They have gone stale. Just no desire for them. Good luck! I am already happy for you. I bet you choose the sleeve. But the decision should be yours.

  13. Oooh, I used to love sweet things. Not anymore. Can you believe I have two huge bags of potatoe chips in my pantry. Sour Cream and Onion and Ketchup as well as cheezies. And I think they are stale. Must toss them. I have no desire for them. They seem yuckie. Before I would have ate the whole bag one at a time. lol

  15. Big hug for you! We are all the same or we wouldn't be here. Try your very best. You can do it. If you make a mistake just pick up and forge on! This is the BEST decision that you will ever make for yourself.
  16. The best way I heard it explained was that you will notice but no one else will. You will see extra loss in the shower or when you brush it. Yes it is gross. I hated it. I am a year out now and the regrowth is about 4 inches long. I have long hair and if I look I can see the 4 inch pieces mixed within the long hair. Dont scare yourself to much.
  17. Not common at all. Trust me. I am one of the only people that I know that had one. Mine was also twisted. Went through hell. But it is fixed. I am happy. Would live through it again to have the sleeve... but not fun. Dont worry this wont happen to you. Almost unheard of. I dont know anyone who doesnt like there sleeve. Even if they had complications. Just my opinion.
  18. I am at goal! 135. I am going to maybe go to 130. I am 1 year out. Best decision I have ever made in my life!
  19. Hi Libbe I am the lady that had huge complications at the same time as you. Mine was a twisted stricture. You look great! It sure is nice to be on the other side. I am at goal as well. I am sure you are enjoying your weight loss as It has made me feel so much better about myself.
