Have you heard of the website Makemeheal?
Just thought this info might help people considering cosmetics. It shows before and afters of all the surgeries that you can have done. There is also a section for bariatrics. It also shows the importance of finding experienced doctors. I found it helpful when I recently had cosmetics. I am so happy to have my sleeve! And feel great! I wish the same for you! The website is called makemeheal and I hope someone finds it useful.

New To All This
2 years out now. So happy. Over the moon! Best decision ever! Nothing you can't eat. You don't even want the same food you used to. You are just happy with smaller portions but not super small. Best decision you will ever meet. I wear a size 6. But what's even better is stellar fitness and health reports. Drs marvel at Kidney and liver functions etc. Good luck!

Dr. Harris at Puget Sound in Washington
Go to rate md and type in his name. I ran across one negative incident on him. One very unhappy customer. Not saying he is bad. I had my sleeve done at Pudget Sound Surgical and they are excellent.

strictures anyone?
I had a sent too. For my stricture. They put it in and removed it he same day as it migrated. Strictureplasty worked for me.

strictures anyone?
Sorry to hear you are struggling. I had a stricture as well. Mine had a twist in it as well. I had to eventually have strictureplasty to fix fit. But they did Sooo many procedures on me before to try to fix it. Nothing else worked. You will get past this.

considering the surgery, need your help please :)
Best decision that I have ever made in my life! I had my sleeve August 2011. Talked myself out of it twice. I am one of the rare complication cases as well. I can tell you complications are very very Rare. I can also tell you I would do it all over in a heart beat. And I was very unwell for 4 months. That's how much having the sleeve has changed my life. I am just recovering from plastics right now. I weigh 129 lbs. I am so fit and so happy with my new health and no longer trapped. My biggest regret is worrying to much before hand.

Can anyone recommend a weight loss friendly GP in BC Lower mainland
Hi I am from south surrey. I wish I could help I use a GP. But forward test results to Pudget Sound Medical centre in Bellingham. Make sure you get your blood work done. And don't forget your B12 shot or sublingual and vits. I am so happy with my sleeve! How about you? K

Advice Please From Folks With Leaks!
I didn't know anyone made a list! I am on it too. Twice actually. I had a twisted stricture. Same sort of treatment as a leak. Happylife. I was most unable to work for months. I dont know the total cost of treatment. Would be scared to even guess. The facility that did my surgery covered the costs. God bless them. I went from Aug 10/2011 to Dec 24/2011 without eating and at times keeping down only some liquids. Long periods no liquids either. I had 8 dilations, 4 operations, 2 feeding tubes through my noes, stent placement, and than removal from migration. Than I had a unheard of fix. Called Stictureplasty. After the Sleeve healed for a long period of time they cut the twisted stricture out and put the two parts of the sleeve back together. And crossed fingers for no leak. It worked! The reason I mention this to you is they told me if the scar tissue from the twisted stricture was soft chances would be better for no leak. As it is difficult to have scared tissue mend. Another thing is they gave me a J tube. It was a feeding tube that went directly into my tummy so that I didn't have to eat or drink while the revision surgery healed. I would do it all over believe it or not. I love my sleeve so much. For you it is a personal decision that only you can make. I wish you the best and happiness!

Need Advice For Experienced Vsg-Ers
I am so excited for you to start your journey! I do take PPI and it controls any problem. I never had any acid issues before my surgery. My doctor is now telling me that there is a procedure now that will take away the need for people to take any PPIs at all. My acid problems actually seems to be going away. I am under goal! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleeve. I had it a year ago. I cant get over waking up in the morning and feeling thin. And then I look in the mirror and geez. I think wow! Pivot, turn..yep it is me. Especially like how my back norrows to my waist! You have a lot to look forward to! There is nothing I cant eat with the sleeve. It is crazy easy. And no dumping, sluggishness, malabsorption issues. I used to love chips and candy. Not anymore! One candy and I think...well, thats kinda good but to sweet. I have 2 huge bags of chips and a huge bag of cheezies in my pantry. I have to toss them. They have gone stale. Just no desire for them. Good luck! I am already happy for you. I bet you choose the sleeve. But the decision should be yours.
