My aunt tried to talk me out of it, she actually called me at work so my supporters (my husband and my mom) wouldn't hear her. I listened and then never discussed it with her again. I decided that it was easier just to not talk to her about it until after I had the WLS. Funny thing is-- now she says it's the best decision I've ever made. Ha!! Good Luck do what's best for you! It's YOUR body, it's YOUR health, and it's YOUR decision!

I work at a desk and was back to work in a week, the only people I told at work were my 2 bosses who were super supportive. Good Luck!

Oh Jessie -- So sorry, I was the same way at about 4 months... It sucks big time! But I'm at 10 months out and thank God it has stopped. Hang in there!

I have always had issues with low iron, and RNY would only make that worse -- so I went with the sleeve and I am super happy that I did!

Congrats! I started the whole process in May 2012 with a seminar, finally got to meet with the surgeon and nutritionist in July, went thru all requirements and was sleeved 10/10/12. It was the best decision I ever made! BTW -- my seminar was pretty even between men and women. Good Luck!
