  1. Gorgeous photos!! Congratulations on your success!
  2. I can sooo relate to eveything you wrote. I have never had any type of surgery, never had an IV until I went for an endoscopy for this surgery. I hate the unknown and have tried to read everything, and watch every video I can find. Even a full lenght surgery just so I could have an idea of what was going to happen. My surgeon eased my mind a great deal when she told me that because of the surgery, when we eat we wiill feel full and satisfied. Because the hormone that makes us feel hunger will be drastically cut down we shouldnt' have the same physical feelings to eat. The emotional is a little trickier, head hunger is powerful, but with this uncompromising tool I think we are all off to a much better start than with a diet. I am determined not to compare my losses to anyone elses and come back to this forum for answers, support and encouragment as much as I need. Good luck!!!
  3. What about a fat free chocolate cream pie? Use the fat free Cool whip and don't eat the crust.
  4. That is wonderful, congratulations!!
  5. Fantastic pictures!! You should be so proud! Congratulations.
  6. Great news! Congratulations!
  7. I can relate. I just keep reminding myself that as long as I follow the plan that there is no way I won't lose. It might take some time, and I'll try not to compare my rate of loss with anyone else's. Stay the course, vent if you need and stay on plan. I think it is very important to this entire process to voice fears and anxiety, and am happy you shared. Every time I think, I must be the only one to feel this way, I find a thread that lets me know I am not alone. Good luck!!
  8. Awesome! Congratulations on your first of many goals you'll meet.
  9. Congratulations!! You must feel amazing. Good for you!!!
  10. Good luck for a smooth recovery! Glad everything worked out!
  11. I'm doing all I can to stick to the plan the nutritionist and surgeon has laid out for me. I used to drink seltzer only. But knowing going cold turkey would be harder, I gave it up after my first NUT meeting. I'm glad to hear that preparing as you have has made it a little easier for you. I'm hoping for the same. Congratulations on a fantastic start!
  12. Sorry for the troubles, but good for you for keeping your plans. Good luck on Tuesday!
  13. I was searching for ideas for post-surgery diet and came across this cookbook on Amazon for about $10. Not that I loved all the recipes, but it started me thinking how to alter some favorites to suit my needs and stay on plan. It progresses from liquids to pureed etc. Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery by: Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray Figured I would share.
  14. My NUT told me for my pre-op (same as you 2-3 shakes & 1 meal with protein) that I could have vegetables during the day it I wanted. Give yours a call or email and ask what you can supplement with.
  15. I'm not comfortable going braless either, I ordered a zip in the front sports bra so I don't have to fuss with it in the hospital.
  16. I was bigger than you for sure and I traveled in one seat. If you're worried, ask the flight attendant for a seat belt extender when you board. Good luck!
  17. How wonderful!! Congratulations, you are an inspiration !!
  18. I was so much calmer about the thought of surgery after my seminar. Any questions or fears you have, write them down. I had questions and of course in the moment forgot what I wanted to ask. Otherwise, take it all in and you can make your ultimate decision armed with as much info as possible. Good luck!!
  19. Fantastic!! They sure did make you work for it. Hopefully it will be nothing but smooth sailing from here on out. Good luck!
  20. Congratulations!! Good luck on your revision.
  21. You look fantastic! Congratulations, I wish you continued success.
  22. Congratulations on your approval and setting your date!!
