love it! I have ben thinking about Curves. A little intimidated though. Good for you girl- go gettum!!!
  2. hi, just had a post op check today. Surgery July 6th. My Dr. gave me a prescription for medication to avoid gallstones. I hadn't even thought of this before. Good luck.
  3. Hi, of course you need your protein, but my Dr. said if it is 1 or the other push the water first. Especially the 1st month. And, are you taking B-12? I am taking 2500 mcg. e. day (am 7 weeks out and have been taking them since day 1) and feel reallky good. Expect to be tired. You just had major surgery, your body is trying to figure out what the heck you did to it. Give it a chance to sort it out. Drink water, work on protein, ask Dr. about B-12. The sublingual cherry flavor is great! Rest & be patient. Good luck.

hi, I feel your pain. I had (still have) the same problem. I ended up using a supository. You really should talk to a pharmasist. If you are embarased call them rather than going in. Tell them you had the surgery, what medications you're taking and how you are feeling. I actually felt nauseated when I had to go but couldn't. Good luck.
  5. my surgery was July 6th! welcome to my corner of the world!!!
  6. alked to my doctor and he said the protein gullets were good for the first week while on clears and now I should get in all my protein from my foods alone and if I need to , I can make a shake. Thanks OTR for your post or else I would've not asked Susie, how long ago did you have your surgery? I don't see it listed anywhere. Thanks. (I would LOVE to get rid of my Protein shakes too!)

  8. Before surgery I LOVED to drink iced tea all day and 1 cup of coffe in the a.m.. Now I can't stand the taste of either one!!! I am 6 weeks out so I am hoping it will change. I haven't noticed it with food but am looking forward to the day I enjoy my coffee and tea again!
  9. thanks Tracy, when I think about it 25 lbs. is alot but it has really slowed down and I get a little discouraged. silly I know. It took me 3 months on Weight Watchers to lose that much before my surgery. I think I need to pump up my exercise. thanks for the pep talk!
  10. Tracy, am I understanding you had your surgery June 2012 and have lost 69 pounds in that length of time?!!! If so I am REALLY a little envious with my little 25 lbs. lost since July!!!
  11. hi, all surgeons are different. my Dr. (or ins) did not require or even feel is necessary- a pre-op diet. I lost about 7 lbs. before surgery without trying- nerves I guess?
  12. does that mean it gets better? PLEASE say it is so!
  13. wow! well said. I want to frame it as a remindrer!!! thanks!

  15. Hi, I as well really had no pain, a little sore in the stomach area and took pain meds only at night for 3 nights to help me sleep (why not? I couldn't lay on my side or of course belly for about 2 weeks. My worst complaint was my nausea. From water to the protein shakes, everything made me nauseaus. I woke up nauseaus and fell asleep nauseaus. That was also for about 2 weeks. Now, 5 weeks out I feel great and SO happy I had the surgery. I have lost 19 lbs. and am on my way. good luck, you will be fine.
  16. thanks so much, I will try them. Sheree
