Anyone ever done the,"get on lightly" maneuver? My theory is that if you step on heavily, the scale will record a higher weight. So I get on like "grasshopper" walking on rice paper.
Is it a definition of insanity to know you are deluding yourself but you do it anyway?

Today i woke up and weighted myself and hit 299 lbs. I haven't been this light since my late 20's. I have lost 159 lbs since nov 2 2011 on that day i weighted 458. So i feel great I run 3 mi every morning 5 days a week. Sometimes I miss food. But i went from 6xl shirt to 2xl, pants waist 58 to a 46, not bad. I dont regret anything I love my sleeve. I have post a before and after pic. Good luck to evryone.

I confess...
- I haven't been to the gym in a month.
- I have weighed myself everyday this week (normally only 1-2x a week) because I'm SSSOOO close to the century club!
- I get really irritated with some people's "holier than thou" preachy, opinionated attitudes on this site which makes me not post for fear of judgment and ridicule. Why can't we just all get along???
- I'm really sad about getting rid of all of my clothes. All I see is wasted $$$ (because I have A LOT of clothes).
- I've only told a few close friends this... I plan on staying single during this journey so I can see what kind of "ass I can pull" and truly enjoy the attention I get!

I gained 10 pounds after the surgery also but now I've lost 15 ......25 total if you count the 10 pounds from surgery

When was your surgery? That's where I had mine also. I really need to get my butt to another meeting.

On day 14 my papers say I can have a egg, hard boiled or scrambled. Refried Beans with cheese, string cheese, cottage cheese and canned chicken and tuna. I'm so over this liquid diet!!

Surgery Day May 16, 2012 231.5lb
Today Aug 8, 2012 12 Weeks POST OP 202.2lb, -42lb, -33.5in total, Size 16 jeans

While I have told my immediate family, when the time comes, I'm preparing to say that I had a hormonal imbalance (grehlin) and had a procedure to fix it. And now I can finally lose weight and keep it off. All true. This is assuming that I feel that I have to explain anything. I may tell certain people to mind their business since there was no concern from them while I was getting fat.
As for restaurants, I plan to just simply say I lost all but one tenth of my stomach to surgery and as a result, I can only eat small amounts. Regardless, I'll be truthful in what I say, even if I leave a few details out. Hopefully people can leave it at that, and don't feel it necessary to keep poking. If they do, an honest "Why do you ask?" should shut them up. They won't want to admit they're just nosy! LOL!

Velveeta mac and cheese and Chef Boyardee are not pasta- they are crack for fat people. I would run the other way and quickly.

I was sleeved on July 17th and as soon as I woke up in the recovery room all I could do was cry and ask myself why did I put myself through this. Trust me its the pain talking. Today I feel so happy I did this surgery. I am 32lbs down! If I didn't do the surgery I would still be feeling sad with my 274lbs. Please hang in there. It does get better! Hope you two feel better soon!

That's awesome! They are great here. I got out of surgery about 3:30pm. I've been up walking and trying to get my fluids in that I need to leave tomorrow. The Popsicles are going doing the best. I've had 3 lol!! Things are going great and all my worries were for nothing. So glad I did this!!

Your gonna go great. The first two days out of the hospital are kinda easy. Take it easy as your stomach heals. Remember that your chest gets tight when your full and try to get your Protein in. You can private message me if you need to talk. I know that during that first week I went through some emotional stress. I kept wondering if I was doing everything right. I have someone who is giving me amazing advice through my tough times. I think it just the calorie reduction that has made me kinda emotional.

I'm sure it does!! I've said it before but I am so incredibly grateful for this site! I can't imagine going through all this without the support here. i'm praying for you girl and will keeps my eyes out for a post from you. And can I just say, if you look that sassy now (your profile pic) watch OUT world when Ms. Carey starts getting smaller!

Weight was a problem But, my turning point was becomming a diabetic.
