  1. I was always afraid when I tossed and turned I'd pull my tube out of the port or the band, but it's in there pretty tight, now I forget I have it. The pillow does help.
  2. Years ago, when I was much younger, I use to stop at a drive through, gobble the food down before I got home and pretend I wasn't hungry for dinner. Oh yeah, I've eased the fridge door open too. Oh yeah, I use to order my kids big meals because I knew they couldn't eat it all and then I'd eat mine and what was left of theirs, waste not want not.
  3. I have to agree with VQ, if I lost mine tomorrow, I'd have to try it at least one more time. It is the one thing I've done for me and I have no regrets, but then again I haven't had to have it removed. I wish you the best with that decision, but unless I became deathly ill for a long time, I would do it again. What size was your band, same doctor doing the surgery, going back with same size and brand band?
  4. Eileen, I regret not doing measurements the night before, and don't forget the pictures, most important! Betty, where are your pictures, we're waiting....and been waiting patiently. Beanie, you're next! MC, I thought you and Betty couldn't spell Danger, LMAO.
  5. You go girl, that's awesome, just one milestone after another!
  6. They're franchisee businesses, a local 32 year old girl owns 6 of them all within 100 miles of each other, she's rolling in the dough. A lady had a heart attack and died right in the gym about a month ago. I think they fill a void for those of us who do not like the meat market type gyms.
  7. White vinegar should do the trick, just put some in a spray bottle and give it a few saturating squirts. I ate something last night that didn't agree and I was at this big outdoor fundraiser, thank goodness I had a golf cart close by and hauled buggy to the parking lot, I was almost foaming at the mouth it was so bad and I was trying to hold it in. I was so afraid someone was gonna speak to me before I could get out of there. When it starts coming back, ya better find a place fast.
  8. I'm so sorry to hear your little one has had to endure so much. I have a 2 year old gson and I know how active he is, I can only imagine how difficult it is keeping him calm. Give him a hug for me.
  9. Resting today! Yesterday was a whirlwind, I was a volunteer at the local Operation Smile golf benefit. I had to be there at 8:30 to check the golfers in, there were lots of teams and lots of golfers. Then at 3:00 I returned to check them back in off the golf course, I was in charge of collecting their "BLUE BALLS", which they exchanged for raffle tickets, needless to say, I had fun with that one! Men, boy do they embarrass easily when you start asking for their blue balls, LOL. Then it was rock n roll, cocktails, dancing and BBQ. Whew, my band does not like BBQ or slaw, so I had to stick to screwdrivers. They showed video of lots of children before and after, amazing is all I can say. Everyone had fun and we collected lots of money.
  10. Yeah, I know, see my jeans, jeans, jeans thread. I did buy two pair tonight at Dress Barn, size 14 regulars, not with the Womens. I also bought two pair of dress slacks, drum roll.....size 12.

    Thanks for sharing.
  12. That's like when I was stopping by Sonic every other day for a blaster, OMG, blast my ash, that lil ol cup had over 900 calories. Needless to say, I don't do blasters anymore. I sure do miss them tho.
  13. Congratulations!!! I got all goose bumpie, I'm so happy for you.
  14. Anyone who says they don't have experience with some type of alcoholic "family" member would be a very rare person. We all gottem somewhere.
  15. OMG, just the thought of 2.6 in my 4cc and I want to run for the sink. I've been at 2 since Sept and very restricted. ouch!
  16. Ordered two pair from Avenue AND a few other goodies, should be here any day now. Thanks for all the advice. I'll be checking out Walmart and Penneys. I don't like Target they give ya too much trouble when ya take stuff back. My middle name is returnit.
  17. Taco Bell was my mushy haven too. Give me them refried beans and sour cream.
  18. I had surgery on Monday, drove to the store on Wednesday, and went to the office on Thursday, but I didn't do anything but open the mail, LOL.
  19. I hear it's the monster storm of all time, BUT, is expected to drop to a 1 or 2 before it hits land. Good luck to all of your Floridians, stay safe.

Pictures in the beginning to make us cry then pictures at the end to make us smile. Thanks for sharing and your attitude is to be praised, you go girl!
  21. Pictures, pictures, pictures, we want pictures!!!!!
  22. From what I hear lately and read, it's liquid that counts, regardless of what it is, with the exception of sodas and calorie wasted liquids. Meaning, tea, lemonade, crystal lite, (which is what I add to my bottled water), coffee, etc. All in moderation I'm sure. When I'm in a restaurant, I put a 1/2 packet of swtnlow or splenda in my water with a squeeze of lemon, then after I finish my meal, I ask for a to go cup and take it with me for later, mmmmm.
  23. Oh my goodness, the seafood was the bomb, fried oysters, fried scallops, fried fish, steamed oysters on the half shell, clam chowder, steamed shrimp, bbq, french fries (not for me), and strawberry ice cream, not to mention all the screwdrivers. Not one pb, woohoo! Back to the real world tomorrow. I hired this cute young girl today, who was dressed like a professional, thanks for thinking of me Betty, it's amazing isn't it, I figured a few of them obviously didn't own any mirrors, LOL.
  24. I'm so sad to hear your lost your band, that's just awful, but your health is more important. Do you think you'll try it again? I'm so sorry you had such a horrible experience. Wow 4 days in the hospital, I hope you're feeling better now.
  25. Congratulations, you look great! Keep up the good work.
