Self-Pay in Hampton Roads area.
Good Morning, I was self pay too. I paid $16,750, (I think that's what it was, it's been almost 4 years), which included overnight hospital stay and a year of fills..withOUT flouro. All fills by WLSHR is now done under flouro. Now the surgery is done as an outpatient. Did I mention, I love my band :tongue_smilie:.

"CHASTISEMENT", were you calling me Diane? Who me, would I ever do that, Ms Sweetie, er I mean sweet..eater. As somewhat of a veteran, I would say you need, as my doctor would say, a tweaking. I know the price is the same whether it's a tweak or a fill, but it maybe what breaks that "plato". My band is very finicky, it's tighter in the AM, it's tighter when the temperature is hot or I get overheated, (ok, Eileenie, get your mind outta of the gutter) or when I take that first bite after not eating for a while. I haven't had a fill for more than a year, and I still have my slime moments. Anyway, my point is yes, I do think you need a fill....so we can get together for liquids , just kidding. On a more serious note, I do think a tweaking could make the scales start to move . Not only will it make you take more time chewing, just knowing you've had a fill, but will probably distract you from the sweets. I have to share this, I was making my bed this morning and there was this great big brown stain, around the top border of the sheet, I thought wth is this! I went to brush my teeth and there was a similar stain on my gown! Warning! eating chocolate Nutty Buddies in bed, may cause stains! Ok girlies, no monkeys for me, I've been here. Donna, congrats on the WL, are you on munchies yet? Time flies! My guys are here putting the shingles on our new boat house, looks like I'll be serving lunch...lets see, Dominos or Papa Johns, LOL. Later...

Good Morning VA, ML, doctor Terracina did my surgery, actually, I was his first lapband patient 3.5 years ago. I would suggest you speak to both surgeons and decide who YOU want to do your surgery. They're both great, so you will be in good hands either way. Let us know what YOU decide.

Betty, you're one party throwing gal, always busy too. Kat, where are you? Hope you're ok. Well gals, I've been meaning to tell ya, the ps wants to redo my reduction and do implants to give me the lift I need/want. Plus, he's going to re-lipo my underarm area and a puffy area in my tummy. He wants $1,000.00 addl for the implants alone, plus another 1700 to do them, plus the OR and the anesthes fee. If I get my eyelids done at the same time, total cost will be another $6700.00. That's with "no charge" for the redo of the lypo and the redo of the reduction. I don't think he should charge for the implant install at all, since I left it upto him to do the implants if he couldn't give me the lift and firmness I was looking for. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point, I just know I'm very disappointed with the boobs. Later gals

Good morning girls, Donna, I'm so glad you're doing well. You surely picked the wrong time to do all that entertaining, LOL. We were at Yorktown Saturday night, we spent the night on our boat, we tied up at the new pier. It was something we'd never done. We should do it on a Friday night when they have entertainment, but at $60 a night, just to tie off and plug into electric, that's a little pricey. Diane, I think I'll be here on the 3rd, what time is your appt? Future DIL, OMG, I had no idea your son was engaged. How old is he anyway? When's the wedding? I've got a beautiful dress you can borrow for the wedding, it's ivory. Does that mean he'll be moving out, LOL. Sherry, how's the reflux? That's so strange that it just started all of a sudden. Have you tried sleeping a little elevated? Sherry, I'm right there with you, as far as losing my band, I know I'd start eating all the foods are that I don't eat now, especially bread, YIKES. I watch other people when we're dining out and it's amazing the size of bites people take and the type of food they order. Back to the reflux, have you tried liquids for more than a day, maybe a few days. My mom had a swollen esophagus and had to take meds, plus do liquids, until she cleared up. Oh yeah, she had to have a complete unfill as well, oh my, which was still better than losing the band. Betty, how was the ride yesterday? No check in this AM! Jetti, I guess you're on your way to having a great time, you go girl! Kat, what are you up to? Rodeo over?

Good Morning Gals AC is all fixed, it was a capacitor, had one on the truck and fixed, thank goodness for that 10 year warranty, parts and labor, only 4 years left though. Diane, they're calling for storms again tonight and we're spending the night on the Grady..YIKES. I've never slept on a boat before, AND the night is not over yet, LOL. First sign of lightening and I'll probably be banging on some-body's door at the hotel across the beach. I've got to pack, the only thing I know to take is toilet paper and paper towels. Any suggestions anyone? Donna, how's day 3? Have you hit that, OMG, what was I thinking, what have I done stage yet, LOL! If and when you do, it will pass, did you get the magic bullet yet? Frozen fruit and some rice Protein, some ice, and a little light orange juice and a great tasting smoothy. Eileenie, cute puppy, glad it's yours :tt2:. Trish, how's your journey? You doing ok? OK, gotta get in gear.

Hey gals, I just got home from our beach house and walked into my bedroom, it's 78 and climbing, my ac has stopped working and the on call service guy said he had a long day and he'd be out tomorrow. I sure am glad I'm only on year 6 of my 10 year warranty . The unit outside is not working, but the fan through the airhandler was working and now it has quit. Sounds expensive. My pool is in at the beach, just full of yucky Water, waiting for the electrician to hook up the pumps. It was so hot there, a pool would have been nice. Donna, I'm telling you those smoothies with the rice Protein are not bad at all, especially with frozen fruit using the "magic bullet" ....BLENDER, LOL It's late, so I'll catch the rest of ya's tomorrow, nitie nite.

Betty, you're gonna be late anyway, stay and play :cool2:. Sherry, my problem with riding with hubby is I'm so short, I always get my leg caught on the sissy-bar. Mandy, get in here, you're always posting on your myspace, don't forget about us here, LOL. Diane, I guess you were sitting in the bird's chair. Are we meeting for liquids after your Dr appt? I bought all the stuff to make that Woo Woo Martini yesterday, but didn't try fixing it yet. Went by boat to my son's house and he met me at the pier with a Margarita, it was actually pretty good. I was just checking prices for flights to Ft Lauderdale, we can go for $89.00 each way x 2, wow, talk about a deal! Donna, I'm thinking about you, especially, when I drive past Steve's Radiator, LOL. Maybe we can meet for lunch one day....for liquids, LOL. Sherry, did I understand Diane, you took your wii fit back? I'm still trying to find one. I've got the wii, just need the fit, do you think your son could get me one? I can send $$. Hey Jetti, let the countdown begin...oh yeah, ya already did, you're gonna have a blast, careful with those liquid calories, oh what the heck, you're only young once, have fun. Kat, I put soap under the bottom sheet last night, I actually slept pretty well, except when I kept bumping into these lumps under my sheet, LOL. I was reading about the rx I've been taking and they're all pretty scary , addiction and all types of side effects, and I don't take them on a regular basis, just when I'm desperate. Kat, email me some pictures of the new tummy, I'd send you a few of mine, but not sure if you or Rick would get it, LOL. Later girlies

Diane, when do you go for another fill? I'm looking forward to "liquids" afterwards . Donna, I was anxious to drive, so I only took 1 pain pill after I got home, but remember I stayed one night in hospital, came home the next AM. Trish, I should have thought of that for my gson, he "graduated" 8th grade this year. I've always wanted to let him have a pool party, but his birthday is in December. He had his Little League end of year team party here once, that was a lot of work and they weren't my kids, LOL. Kat, I've got an appt with PS today or tomorrow, glad you mentioned it I need to go check. Supposed to do after pictures, but probably won't when he finds out I'm not real happy with the "girls". Hey does anyone know anybody that's had the sculpting laser lypo? Sherry must be really worn out, but then again, when you have to get up due to reflux, I'm sure that doesn't help. Rather than reread the posts, did you say whether your doctor has checked you out or not? Jetti, I'm like Kat, I hate to be away from home, (all my toys are here, LOL). Hubby wants to travel all the time. I'm ok once I get there, but just all the packing and securing the house, etc, ugh! My niece wants to house sit, last time it cost me $200.00, but this time she said she'll sit for free, she likes my pool more than I do. Woo Woo Martini, anyone had one? OMG, we went for brunch yesterday, one more and I'd have been trashed, going for some cranberry vodka today . I've never made a martini before, but what the heck. Betty, I'll try the soap, I tried before, but I must have used Dial or Dove. I hate taking the meds for it, especially, since it sends signals to my already strained brain :grouphug:. Eileenie, come play with us. How was the "virgin" pedicure? Cute, quick story, one day when my best friend's son was little, she was leaned over, making the bed, he reached up and goosed her in the crotch and said, "gottcha, right in the virginia". Kids are adoreable. Ok kiddies, going to do a little shopping, looking for a patio set for my gson's mother, she just graduated college, while working a full time job and I'm really proud of her. She's like a daughter to me, but I'm going to kick her a$$ if she doesn't stop running up those charge cards. She said she only uses them to buy groceries...WTH, I can't have! Later girlies!

Good morning, thank goodness for SpongeBob, right Kat! I told DS at 4:00 when he dropped the 2 yr off, "EARLY PICKUP, you know I don't like all nighters as it is", of course it's almost 10, no sign of AH..DS. I'm sure he's hung over. Sherry, when they're 30, the parties are much more intense, and grilled hot dogs is not what they've got on their mind, wellll, maybe in a way, LMAO..(Eileenie, that one was for you). He's such a great little guy. He's good as gold, but my house now looks like tornado went through, toys and stuff everywhere. Kat, when your granddaughter is there, do you just leave everything she pulls out, where it is, until she leaves? Diane, hope your head is better today. Sherry, RLS....restless leg syndrome, it has gotten worse over the years. It's like this, if someone told you if you moved your legs again, they'd have to shoot you, you'd say, go ahead and pull the trigger, no way to stop moving the legs, its so very annoying, esp when trying to go to sleep or it wakes you up. Eieenie, we've got great weather this am, but calling for lots of storms this afternoon, hubby WAS supposed to take me to VA Beach today, just to hang out. I think we're going to Fort Lauderdale next week to check out more "snowbird" properties for us old folkers. Hugs to all.

Hey girlies, Skipped the Harley today and profiled in the Corvette, I told hubby I was gonna have to get me one of those things, he said it looked like I'd taken his over, I told him, NOT,I want a red one, hehe. Top down and the AC just a kickin, gas $3.93 a gallon, well ya gotta spend it on something, LOL. Sherry, so sorry about the reflux, yikes. I woke up yesterday morning, had dry heaves, (no, I wasn't hung over), I thought I was going to heave my band. I got back in bed and stayed there until 2:15, then I was all better. I think it was a RLS pill I took, it's not the type I usually take, and I break them down into 1/4's, only I took a whole one, on an empty stomach, won't do that again. Betty, you out riding today, or floating? Diane, oops, so sorry I didn't call you back, but I didn't think you'd want me calling you after 10:00, but then I saw you were on line. Kat, where's that busy woman? Eileenie, you're always in the gutter with me . I see Donna's gonna fit right in with you and I, licked what, hahaha. Donna, I'm so excited for you, I couldn't hardly wait, then I got bumped for two weeks. Be back later, driveway sensor went off, must be the kid drop off, Nana's daycare, an all nighter. Hugs

Good Morning Ladies, Trish, hang in there, it will pass, it's not going to be easy, but you will make it. I remember I got so hungry, I'd stand at the kitchen sink with that Campbells Soup in hand and chew the bits at the bottom, then spit it out in the sink, I know yuk, how disgusting. I also ate SF hard candy, jsut for something to "BITE". Have you tried that soft serve "ice cream" at costco, yummmm. I had that on my 6th day, couldn't eat much of it, but it helped. Are y'all talking about the picture on the 3 Wheeler? That picture was awful, except for the hair, LOL. Over the last 6 months, I was back to a blonde, due to the sun, but as of yesterday, I'm red with blonde chunks and short in the back, hubby loved it. I told him I thought he might want some ....strange, hahaha, ok Eileenie, I know you'll go crazy with that one. Donna, I'm glad you've joined our "family", we'll be here for you for sure. Betty, I did the popsicles too, only I hate that stick in there, like scraping a blackboard to me :rolleyes2:. Also, the only Jello I do now is in those little cups, homemade with Vodka, LOL. Sherry, how was last night, have you tried Tums, I know that sounds trivial, but I swear by them. Later girlies.. Diane, call me later.

Sherry, no, no, no...peeking in the sons bedroom. I used to walk by and if the door was open, immediately shut it. To this day, I don't think my 34 yr old son closes a drawer. I've got pictures of his room with every drawer open and clothes hanging out. Not to mention clothes all over the floor. I got to a point I'd just put his clothes on the bottom step, when he ran out of clothes he'd take a stack up with him. We both survived, LOL. Have a great day ladies, getting the gray out this AM at 9:00, my wonderful hairdresser is coming in early just for me .

Kat, you've always got the best answers, I'd have never thought of Rosacia, surely could be. Oh yeah, my Harley is a Heritage Softtail..tell hubby it's got one heavy front end. I can't back it up, way too heavy, I just pull up to where I'm going to park, snap my fingers, (after hubby parks) and yell, "Valet" and he comes and parks it. It's a nice bike, much easier to drive than the smaller ones, but a B to park. Donna, glad you're through with the 3 hr class, I know I was so excited, then they had to postpone my surgery for 2 weeks, I was so upset. It will be here before you know it. Woohoo, Sherry, Betty, Diane, Mandy, where are you? We know Jetti's packing, LOL.

Jetti, I had to laugh, just reading Sherry and Kat's posts always tire me out. I have a post like that once in a great moon, when I've been away from the site for a while. I love reading their posts, heck I love reading all my gfriend's posts here, speaking of which, where is everyone? Donna, when I had my nutritional class, it was all based on RNY patients and the woman that gave it was about a -0 in size and ate nothing, but tofu and soy, and that's all she fed her kids...as Eileenie would say...WT?? Going to take my mom to lunch, will chat later. Oh yeah, Kat, tell Rick we have a 1966 servie car, it's a Harley, that was used by the police dept as a meter maid vehicle. Obviously, before the boob job or tummy tuck.
