  1. Hey gang, thanks for the nice words about my little cutie grandson, he's a mess. Talk about eating out, I'm as excited as a bug in a rug when I go anywhere that has the soup and salad combo, and even more so if it's the bottomless bowl of soup. Eileen, did you ever try any of those mashed taters by Country Crock? My heart goes out to all the single parents in the world, it's tough enough with two active parents. (Thank goodness mine are grown, but just because they're grown doesn't mean you're worry free)
  2. You can have sf Jello, sf popcicles. I had the broth from wonton Soup, I ate egg drop soup, sf hard candy, and I chewed on small ice cubes. The beef should have gone down no problem because you don't have a fill yet, but the problem is your tummy has to work to digest the beef and it's suppose to be healing. I was on mushies on my 13th day, I cheated a day, but i took it slow and easy. YOU CAN DO IT, you've had the surgery, that's half the battle, hang in there!
  3. Rene, he really does sound like a keeper.
  4. I eat those low fat Pringles, I just don't eat the entire container at one time anymore. I buy soy chips and put Peanut Butter on them, yummm, lots of Protein and good too. I keep my Calcium and Vitamin chocolate squares (by Vita somebody), in the candy dish so I'll remember to grab those for that sweet fix.
  5. Pictures, I love pictures. Have fun.
  6. I heard that on the Today Show this AM. I've been drinking Maxwell House, Lite, 1/2 n 1/2, hummm, maybe that' my culprit, LOL.
  7. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
  8. Refried Beans w/ sour cream Refried beans w/ sour cream Refried beans w/ sour cream and chili I'd go to Taco Bell, order the refried beans and sour cream, then a regular taco, then I'd empty the contents of the taco into the refried beans, stir and yummm.
  9. TGI FRIDAYS potato skins.
  10. Well it was worth a try, LMAO. It probably wouldn't have been so juicy if I'd taken that little bag out that was stored on the inside of it. Chit went everywhere.
  11. Best of luck to you, but I don't know what I'd do without my LBT family. I feel like I know so many of the members here personally and that people really care about you here. I wish you well.
  12. Looks like a good menu to me, although, I'd like to try something a little out of the ordinary this year. We're all taking a dish to my son's house, I got stuck with the turkey, so I'm taking it to a local BBQ restaurant that makes their own BBQ and having them cook it. (last time I cooked one in the microwave I had the biggest mess).
  13. I had the port pain off and on, as I think most do, during the healing process, but I never saw any black dots. Like Trish said, might want to phone the doctors office and be sure all is well.
  14. I survived without dairy, I HATE milk, although, I can drink milkshakes, LOL. I used eggdrop soup for my liquid stage to get in protein, and I did use milkshakes for protein too. After all, I was healing, LOL.
  15. Good morning everyone, hope you have a wonderful day. Betty, check out my grandson's little Harley... masonharley2.BMP
  16. Your surgery sounds like mine. I was more tender than in pain, although, I did have pain in the left shoulder for weeks. Good luck with your new friend.
  17. So sorry to hear you went through all of that and ended up without the band. I would suggest a second opinion. Good Luck! PS, I'll ask my doctor the next time I visit if he's ever heard of that happening.
  18. I've been invited to a gathering of ladies and we're each to bring 6 dozen home made Christmas Cookies. The contest part is the presentation and of course the best tasting cookie. I've never made cookies from scratch, EVER. I need ideas and recipes, then again, I'm sure all LBT members would probably enjoy sharing and trying the recipes. Would love any suggestions for an unusual presentation as well. Come on ladies, I know this is a natural for most of you, but for me, it's a challenge. Anyone ever heard of a praline Christmas cookie?
  19. That stuff just does not look even the least bit comfy to me. Did you see the cami with the thing under the armpit, ouch. I'd feel like I was in a vice.
  20. What strength and stamina she must have had to write such an ongoing diary, which was filled with all of her ups and downs, what a wonderful woman beyond her years.
  21. What type of things do you sell on Ebay? I started to sell some of my clothes and they wanted my checking account number, which I was hesitant to do. So, I called my banker and asked her to open me a minimum account so if I get ripped off it will only be for so much. I hate giving that kind of info on line.
  22. All of my days vary. Like today, I had a 1/2 house salad and soup for lunch, then a large salad with tuna for dinner and that was my food for today. But, yesterday, I had a large chicken salad at Cracker Barrell, then some soy chips for munching, then large salad for dinner. Every now and then I'll do a Zone bar for breakfast, but not often, breakfast is so hard to start doing.
  23. Some say it's due to not enough protein, others say it's related to being put to sleep, that about 6 months down the road the hair starts to fall out, but only for a short time.
  24. Kim give more details on the gourmet stuff, "microwave mama" here needs an update. Penni what kind of business you starting? My DNL and I are thinking of opening a tanning spa, with her young energy and my money, lol.
  25. Moonie, welcome to LBT. I was self pay and still had to be postponed a month after I was supposed to be banded. I was so upset and disappointed, it's hard to believe, but next month will be a year. Life is Good!
