  1. I just want a "bikini area" .
  2. Wonderful news, so glad you were finally approved, good luck.
  3. Did you try the hula hoop? I bought one for my house, picture that a 55 year old doing the hula hoop, well on second thought nix the picture that.
  4. Sorry to hear you're having to have your surgery AGAIN, sounds like you're in good spirits, and as Martha would say, "that's a good thing".
  5. Scotty, I went through that too, I think it was because my body was saying, hold onto anything, fat included, she's not giving us enough to eat. When I switched to mushies I had a good weight loss after that. I call it your body trying to protect you by storing fuel of any type.
  6. First let me say thank you Alex for such an informative and what was trusted and comforting site. I strongly agree with Darcy, Becky, and La_madam. I have not said anything until now, but I feel numerous people have attempted to make a mockery of this site. Until a week or so ago, I felt like everyone was my friend and really cared about not only me, but each other. Like the posts before me, unless I'm replying to a longtimer, I do not trust the supposedly new members and that's so unfair to those really seeking help, I haven't forgotten I too was a new member many months ago. Please do not get frustrated and close down the site at this time, but if you're unable to block the trouble makers, (after you run your report), then I will understand. How could anyone expect you to put up with the imature BS going on, when you've given so much of yourself and time. You have provided us with a place to ask our questions and share our trials and tribulations, and for that I will always be grateful.
  7. How wonderful, now there will be another NEW you. Good luck!
  8. Before banding I ate because I like the taste, now I eat when I'm hungry. Grazing is almost gone, not completely though. Now I make good choices, except for this past weekend while in New Orleans, I did have a few bits of a carrot cake. After beating myself up I remembered I wasn't on a diet anymore and could eat that cake, just not the entire piece and two more pieces. What a wonderful feeling not to pile food on a plate, (when at home I use a salad plate) and then to actually leave food on my plate..... I love my band.
  9. I don't do french fries, talking about hung chow, whew, worst pb I've had, don't know if that was such a bad thing, lol. My biggest problem is not what I eat, but either not chewing enough or taking too big a bite. I had a terrible time with an olive one day, right there with the french fry incident, even spit up blood afterwards. You would think after three months I would be out of the habit of popping something in my mouth and giving it a few chews then swallowing. As soon as I swalled I knew I was in for it, not only the golf ball effect, but pbd for 20 minutes. I have found if I don't get famished between meals I have a lot less problems. Had my second fill yesterday, this afternoon will be interesting, here comes the chili.
  10. OMG, what brave women ya'll are. I've said every year I was gonna get one above my right ankle, that started 10 years ago, still looking for the nerve to do it, remember I hate neeeeeeedles.
  11. Since there are so many of us who play Pogo games I thought it would be interesting to see if any of us are on each others "friends" list. Just add to this list so we can print it off and add each other to friends list POGO NAME & FAVORITE GAMES HarleyNana001- Gin and Canasta
  12. I think it was hiding under the fat. When I told my son, who goes to the gym 4-5 times a week, he gave me a hug and said, "That's great Mom, just imagine the results IF you'd been doing something, like...even using the treadmill". Kids, even if he is 27, ya gotta love the smart ashes.
  13. They fixed mine during band placement. It has been such a relief. You will be so happy you had it fixed. Good Luck
  14. Do they ship to the US? How do you figure the $$$$$ price? Thanks,
  15. They have a scale you have to step on barefooted, then the diatician punches in your weight, height, age, previous weight and fat info, ( I had this done prior to surgery) and then it spits out this piece of paper with all the info on it. My doctor said she rarely gives a "way to go girl" remark on your record, AND my BMI is down to 33.8.
  16. Ooohlala, looks wonderful, but most of all looks very comfy.
  17. Whipeeeee, I just came from the doctors office and got another 1cc, I've lost 29 lbs, but I've gained 12 lbs of muscle, which equates to 41 lbs lost:banana :banana :banana. My nutritionist really made my day. I was rather depressed over the little weight loss for three months, then she explained all the muscle vs fat, I'm on cloud nine.
  18. Blossom, the only way I do chicken is like in a stir fry. I found that chicken breast are way too dry. I do a lot of fish, talapia, baked or blackened or grilled, and tuna. Then there's the old chili favorite. There's a new olive oil out that's suppose to be healthy for ya too. I'll get the name when I get home and edit this reply with the name.
  19. Nicole, I gained 5 lbs in the hospital, most people do gain a few pounds from the fluids that we have pumped into us. Wish you and Patty the best on your journey.
  20. I get so annoyed when I'm starving and take that first bite and don't chew enough or it goes down too fast and then that's it until that hung piece either slimes its way up or down. Just curious how much you've lost since the perfect/proper fill. Definately a fine line between restricted and unable to eat and still hungry.
  21. Anywhere on the East Coast is fine with me. Look very forward to meeting everyone.
  22. Good Morning Patty, I had very little pain, more discomfort than pain. You'll feel better before the end of the day. Second and third day are usually the worst then it's all down hill.
  23. Becky, that was so eloquently stated.
  24. Did we decide on a city yet? Ok Alex and Penni are yall sitting up the itinerary for shopping? How many people do ya think will come? I have a beach house in NC on the ocean, only has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths, but lots of floor space. Those dates are great, after the kids go back to school, not that I have kids in school, they're just off the beach by then, LOL.
  25. Thanks LaM, I emailed the site to my mom.
