  1. Hey all you wonderful fellow banders that left, you know who you are, come back we miss you! We will heal much faster with your warm thoughts and caring hearts with us. If anybody gives you any stuff, just let us know! It's back to business as usual with the best lapband site.
  2. Frank, I lost my dad too, so I do know your heartache. The old saying time heals is true, but it takes a long time. I lost my dad almost five years ago and I miss him as much today as I did the day he left. You're in my thoughts.
  3. Awww, I know the disappointment. The proctor assisting my doctor had to cancel, I was scheduled Nov 18 and was moved to Dec 6. My mom just went through the ekg thing and she passed, so good luck, oh yea, she's 73.
  4. Now that's a double oh, make that a triple, nvs or nsv, one of those things. Good for you and Happy Birthday!
  5. Trish what's the name of the cream you put on your upperlip? One time I was getting my eyebrows waxed and the girl dropped a glob of hot wax right in the middle of the brow...you guessed it, hair didn't grow back for years. Now I was a cute chubby thing with a bald spot in my eyebrow.
  6. If I sipped, I'd never get all that water in, (not that I do anyway).
  7. Oh no! I knew I missed a lot of stuff, but I didn't realize she left. I will really miss her. If anyone hears from her, please let me know how she and Dylan are doing. Thanks. PS, tell her I love the Bullet Blender too....boohooooo
  8. Anyone heard from Kelly lately? Haven't seen her on here for a while.
  9. Wait until you have that nightmare and you dream you're pregnant, OMG. I usually wake myself, usually in a sweat, love those, and just keep saying to myself, it was only a dream, lol.
  10. Is there a spell check? From the looks of my threads it's obvious I didn't know it, LOL. It would be nice to get a better idea of where everyone wants to stay, NJ or NY, which ever is fine with me, then again, maybe I should check and see which airport is direct and CHEAPER, before I make my suggestion. Those in the immediate area, please make suggestions for airport and nearby city with access to the big apple. After we get the designation straight, then we can play the activities, let the parties begin.
  11. Last year on my birthday we went to the Joe's Crab Shack, they call you up and give you a hula hoop and tell you they're gonna sing happy bd to you until you do it. Needless to say, I just took the hoop and manually moved it around my body....but now, I can keep it going for about 3 minutes, yahooooo, well that's a start.
  12. I think the hardest part is when you're sitting in a restaurant and the server sits that glass of water down in front of you as she arrives at your table. I usually add my swt-n-low and lemon, then just before I leave I ask for a large cup to go, then I take my water with me so I'll have it when it's time to drink. It's so refreshing then.
  13. Sammy my first fill was not a real pleasure either, my doctor missed the port. Here I was babying this fill, then come to find out I was wide open. I got my second fill Wed, whew it was a good one. I love night time so I can eat instead of drink.
  14. Bright, that's the same idea I had, that housework will be there tomorrow, pamper yourself and that port until you reallllly feel like it.
  15. Caren, I had to laugh out loud, my employees got me a bullet for Christmas and it's been sitting in the corner of my living room since then. My housekeeper fusses every week, telling me to open the box. Well, yesterday, I opened the box and fixed us a smoothie, I'm kicking my butt for not opening the box sooner. OMG it's wonderful, quick clean up, fast smoothie, just dropped a few frozen strawberries, banana, ice, and milk, wahla, smoothie. Yum. I wanted to tell DylansMom, Kelly, because she wanted one of those too. I think it's well worth the investment, especially if you have children, that's a plus. Let me know if you get any good recipe ideas, the book in mine was pretty thin. Oh yes, I couldn't get chili to go down yesterday, so I put it through the bullet for about 5 sec and you're right, purreeeeed, just like soup.
  16. Pati-O, I think we've all been in your shoes and I'm sure I will be there again, especially after just getting a fill. My fill is quite restricting and I've not eaten a lot, so I look for the scales to stay the same Monday because your body tries to hold on to any energy source it can. Good Luck
  17. Vera I got the hiccup, but I was waiting for the rest of them (hiccups) to follow, I didn't know it was just one. I will be watching, waiting, listening for that valuable hiccup so I can prevent the "PB". Thanks Oh yea, you'll be happy you waited on that fill, being too restricted is not a good thing either.
  18. Alex, I just reread your announcement and you stated, "how you suggest we fix the moderator and privacy issue on LBT.", before I could answer this or give any suggestions, I would like to know exactly what rights do the moderators have that we as members do not. Is it true they can read our private messages, while they're being written and after they've been sent? From what I understand threads can be deleted, locked, or edited. When you have time, please clarify their exact position AND what it guide lines you have given the moderators and if you think they are abiding by those guidelines. I almost forgot to mention, for the most part I applaud the moderators for devoting their endless hours to this site. This site WILL heal. Thanks again for LBT.
  19. I'm almost three months out and I still have trouble with the water before/after issue. Since my fill I have to wait an hour after drinking anything before I can attempt to eat and thank goodness for soup. I couldn't even get chili down today after putting it through the "bullet blender" and I've always been able to do chili, I was so disappointed. Tonight, it was all better.
  20. Gee, I thought I was the only bandster with that one or two bites too many.
  21. I'm sure that will be helpful for a lot of Mexico bandsters who have been making the trip. Thanks for sharing, although my doctor's here in VA, just down the street.
  22. Sounds like you're doing great, good luck on your band journey to the new you.
  23. S/f Jello and popcicles are a good source for fluids too. Helps fill that void time when everything tastes terrible. I also sucked on s/f hard candy, only problem is they give me gas. To be honest, I try not to think about the liquid phase, because that was a difficult time, but it will be over before you know it. I used alot of Campbell Hand soups, but I poured it through a strainer so I wouldn't eat the goodies in the bottom. You'll have to check with your doctor, but mine said I could have anything that would go through a straw...did you know gravy watered down will go through a straw.
  24. I guess when summer gets here I'll have to put a cooler in my car to keep my left over restaurant food in. I always order a regular meal and eat maybe half, depends on how close to the fill. After a fill on Wednesday, I wouldn't order more than a cup of soup. Nearing a fill I'd easily order a meal, eat part then bring the rest home for another meal or two, if my son didn't eat it first.
  25. That was special of you to take the time to share this with others.
