  1. I am 3 days post op and so far i have been able to tolerate SF icepops, vitamin water, and for the first time i was able to drink an 8 oz protien shake. for lunch today i will be having some sort of cream soup not sure which one yet. (I am on full liquids)
  2. I am also 2 days post op and so far today i have had 6 ounces of fluids. and I am struggling just to get those 6 ounces down
  3. I am 2 days post op and my stomach gargles after each sip. except mine sort of hurts. It almost feels like the gargle is going up my esophogus. It was so bad last night that I threw up. please tell me it will get better.
  4. Yes they have been giving me nausea meds. But because my throat is so dry I think its making the nausea worse. I have been getting up and walking up and down the corridors
  5. Im sleeved! Doing prettygood. Havent been able to drink anything until the swallow test tomorrow. Have a slight headache and the nausea is bot fun either.

  8. Dr. Forester is such a cutie! My Surgeon is Dr. Goyal. Thanks for the info. i have never been to Overlook other then for the psyc evaluation.
  9. Oh and i should add i had to do the 6 month supervised diet. And each co-pay was $50.
  10. Yes i get 1 bariatric surgery in my lifetime with this insurance. That is why i picked the gastric sleeve. But i had to jump through lots of hoops to get it approved!
  11. How was your hospital stay? I am having surgery there on 1/9th? Who was your surgeon?
  12. I don't have to pay the surgeon anything but i do have a $150 copay for the hospital stay.
  13. The obsession is normal! I started this journey in February, 2012 and have been obsessed ever since and i am scheduled for surgery 1/9! I honestly dont have any advice for you other then maybe Skype. If you can download it to your phone or bring a lap top with you it may help with the seperation anxiety. Just think about how much better your life will be when you return home! You will be relaxed and will be starting the new you! Good luck to you!
  14. Vitamin C is your best friend. My surgery is wednesday and i too am praying not to get sick! but also taking exta vitamin C just incase!
  15. All you really need is the copies of the medical notes. They don't have to do anything special. I had to submit 5 years worth of weight and diet history.
  16. My nut and surgeon say 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after.
  17. I too have been looking into either getting the Fitbit or the Nike+ FuelBand.
  18. Most of my friends are not supportive. My husband is very supportive! At first i was a bit hurt that my friends were so negative but then i realized that they were too scared to take such a big step in their lives. Ironically the ones that were not supportive are obese too. But i have learned not to give a rats ass what my friends think.... you know what they say, opinions are like A$$ holes, everyone has one!

  20. They would see the gall bladder but not its function.
  21. I am still pre-op but i started taking Biotin about 1 month ago. Hopefully that will help when the time comes.
