  1. eggface is my italian sister (long lost) if it wasnt for her I would have been so lost in the beginning. Ice cream has been my savior, ricotta bake, crab rangoon, Ice cream, breakfast bites, bento boxes, did I mention Ice cream yet? Thank you SHELLY !!!!
  2. a week before my surgery (during my liquid phase) I went thru all my entire kitchen and got rid of everything that was high in fats, carbs & sugar. I also bought new dishes (tasting dishes) with very small spoons & forks. I eat every night with cloth napkins and wine glasses. Oh and I cant live without my kitchen ninja. There may not be a lot on my plate for dinner but damn it..... I am gonna have it at least presented in front of me beautifully.
  3. tylenol.... no aleve, motrin, ibuprofen. They are all considered an NSAID which is a no no

  7. that is the definate link if you scroll down some Shelly's Cauliflower Pie 1 head of Cauliflower, cooked and mashed 1 Yellow Onion, chopped 3 eggs, beaten 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (divided use) 1 Tablespoon Oregano 1 Tablespoon Fresh Basil, chopped 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt a few twists of Black Pepper Topping Marinara Sauce (I use jarred - Rao's is my fav) Sliced Provolone Break up cauliflower florets (my cauliflower was medium to large but the recipe is forgiving and slight size variations won't matter) and cook in salted Water till fork tender. Drain. Mash. Saute onion till golden. Mix remaining ingredients together (hold back 1 Tablespoon of the Parmesan.) Pour into a 8 x 11.5 x 2 (2 qt) Pyrex casserole dish that has been sprayed with Pam non-stick cooking spray. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes and place under the broiler for 5 more minutes to brown. When done I cut the pie into squares (I get 8-10 squares from the pie.) You can eat it as is but I top each square with a Tablespoon of Marinara Sauce and a slice of Provolone and it goes back under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Mmmm. PS sorry shelly...

  17. the purpose of the 6 month supervised weight loss is purely for the insurance co. in my opinion. they arae hoping that it will dicourage you or will get anothr job and not have their helth insurance any more. This is just not my opinion but medical professionals also.

  23. I never had heartburn a day in my life before the surgery. after surgery I had to sleep sitting up it was so bad. My Dr put me on dexilant once a day. (expensive but if you have insurance and there is a card out there right now that you only have to pay a $20 co-pay for the first year) Heartburn is totally gone. LOVE IT
  24. for me it wasn't the pain. I stopped taking pain medication after the 2nd day. It was the nausea that kept me in the hospital for 4 days. I couldn't keep anything down. I was so dehydrated for the first week even with them giving me IV fluid boluses. The pain was more muscle sorenes like you had a really hard workout and over did it just a bit.
