  1. www.myfitnesspal.com there is also an app for you phone so you always track everything. a lot of us on here use it and it works great. with my husband gone for the summer ( he does the majority of the cooking) and me working 12 hour shifts I dont have the time cook every day. so I started taking one day a week, planning my meals, shopping & cooking and packing them in the fridge by days. I has worked out so well. i always have extra veggies in the fridge just in case. but I live on grilled chicken and mushrooms. it also has decreased my impulse restaurant splurges.
  2. my favorite was FF cream of mushroom soup. I added a grilled portabella mushroom to it and threw it all in the blender. After I heated it up I added a wedge of lauging cow cheese to it. sooo creamy & good !!!
  3. you made me laugh so hard when you asid. " do you know what type of people go to the ER" As an ER RN I am totally lovin it. people do NOT understand what goes thru an ER because of all the closed doors and security everywhere just in case. I sure do miss being in front of bulletproof glass when they walk thru the front door though. Get to feeling better
  4. I buy it in bulk and make it from home. when you buy the larger sized at the store all you are doing is adding empty calories. stick to the 20oz. size it is 45g of protein and 180 calories. Also if you have them make one from the store have them wash the fruit off (strawberries) since it is in a sugar syrup. they will gladly do it for you. smoothie king has been my savior. I now only use one scoop in my shake in the moring with skim milk, throw it in the kitchen ninja and enjoy a frozen mochachino everyday. hope you like them !!!
  5. Hve you ever tried walden farms? too me they have a chemicacl taste to them. my favorite is addiding flavored balsamic vinegar and a packet of equal. That should get you started. I love MIO. easy to carry in your purse and they taste great
  6. So I saw that you live in garden city. I google mapped where a smoothie king is near you 225A Glen Cove Road, Carle Place, NY I haved used the gladiator Protein shake mix (90 cals per scoop, no fat, <1g carbs and <1g sugar) and LOVE it. chocolate is my favorite and you can buy it in bulk powder form also vanilla & strawberry. 2 scoops will give you 45 grams of protein but when I make it at home I onlly use one scoop with a 1/2c of skim milk and I am still getting 30g of protein per drink in. Have them make you one in the store. see how you like it and then play with different ingredients at home. my absolute favorite is chocolate with a 1/2t of instant decaf coffee crystals. BTW Protein drinks always taste better to me as a frozen drink. Can not stomach them mixed with a blender ball. I now look foward to my froen chocolate shake every morning
  7. congats on making one the best decisions ever !!!
  8. hard parmesean has more Protein in it an is way better for you. shaker cheese is nastines in a can. once you start using the hard cheese you will never go back. the flavor is much more intense.
  9. aspirin, alcohol, sugar, B12 & whey Protein gets absorbed directly from the stomach thru the lining. everything else gets dumped into your small intestines and is absorbed in there.
  10. started using straws a few weeks ago. I am able to get all my fluids im when I do. I am just careful when at the bottom not to suck in air. I usually dont let it run dry
  11. OMG, I just realized that I passed the halfway mark on weight loss. so far 2 months in and I am feeling great !!!!
  12. kitchen ninja is the bomb!!!
  13. water with extra lemon on the side. I squueze it in and add splenda. make my own lemonade.
  14. The harder the cheese... the more protein. An easy way to get protein in with lots of flavor. I have it about once a week it is high in fat.
  15. I also get a slight pressure in my chest area and if my nose runs I ate one bite too many.
  16. I got mine at Bed Bath & beyond.... 8.00 for four of them. I use them all the time. eadsy to pop the food out and store in the freezer
  17. just to let you know the pre-made fat free instant pudding has TONS of sugar in it. but if you buy the packages (fat free & sugar free) in the store and make it from home using skim milk it is much better for you.
