I have read your letter twice. Both times it brought tears to my eyes. Just as everyone else has posted, we can all relate to these feelings. If it is okay with you, I would love to share this with my husband. He is still having mixed feelings about me having the surgery. I am currently waiting on insurance approval. He says that he will support me, but I know he has his doubts.

I am getting excited and impatient. I received an email from Valorie. She has received my psych eval and nutritionist report. She is just waiting on Dr. Avera's dictation. Then she will send to the insurance co. I thought she already sent. Bummer. But hopefully soon. I an sooo ready. I am happy you are healing so well. hopefully, I will recover as good as you have. Other than the allergic reaction, how was your recovery?

Yesterday was my daughters prom and while she was getting her hair done, I found out that her hairdresser is 4 months out. She is doing sooo good. We talked about her sleeve and her experience for a while. That talk just made me realize that this is the right choice for me. @ Shelley....good luck on Wednesday. We should keep in touch since we are going to be neighborly sleevers.

Hi Shelly....My name is Dina, and I am also from Lucedale. Dr. Avera is my surgeon. I am waiting on insurance approval. My insurance co. reqired a psych eval and an appointment with the nutritionist. I am also very excited and nervous. I am happy to know there is someone else from Lucedale.

I haven't had surgery yet. I am doing doing the pre-op diet to loose weight before my real pre-op. I am trying to loose the 15-20 pounds reqired before surgery. I am aloud to have a lean cuisine for dinner. My question is, should I eat before I walk on the treadmill and if so, how long after I eat should I wait to walk? I have always wondered about this. Thanks for any helpful info.

Had my psych eval and nutrition appointments today. Everything went great. Now just waiting on insurance approval.

I am using EAS with 17g of protein. I have some samples of Ujury that I am fixing to try.

I started the liquid diet yesterday to try to loose at least 15 pounds. I do not need to do the liquid diet yet because I don't have a date yet. I am just trying to loose the minimum amount of weight my surgeon said I would need to loose before surgery. I woke up this morning with a headache and hungry. I had my morning shake and a bottle of Water. I took tylenol, but it is not helping with my headache. How long will this last?

It is very hard for me to tell if my husband is with me or against me. He said that he would pay for the surgery. But I think he has reservations. I'm not sure if he even wants to be there the day of the surgery, and to be honest I'm not sure I want him to be there. I would rather wait till after 2 weeks post-op. He works offshore, so I have been thinking about scheduling while he is offshore for his 2 weeks. He seems to be worried that something might happen to me during or after the surgery. I have given him all the facts. The facts of what could happen if I DO NOT HAVE THE SURGERY. I think he understands. I think he will come around after all is said and done. I do have support from my daughter who will be 18 on the 29th. She is amazing. She wants to stay with me at the hospital and she will drive me home. I just hope that my husband comes around because I'm not changing my mind. I am tired of feeling bad everyday. I'm tired of my back and legs hurting everyday. I want to be healthy and happy again. I know I can do this. I will do this!!!!!!!!! I will lose the Weight!!!!!!
