Tomorrow makes me a full week out! I started full liquids as soon as I was released from the hospital. I have a JP drain and it is killing me. I suppose to have it removed tomorrow but, afraid that since it is still draining they may keep it in. How do I feel?? AWESOME! I am not getting fluids or Protein in right now, Maybe 24 oz a day. Love chicken broth. But, not feeling the shakes anymore. I can't even finish an entire one. I am able to walk over a mile and smile. I do have pain occasionally in my stomach but I think it is just my stomach missing the rest of itself.

See, it just hit me today too! April 16th is going to be AWESOME!!

I am less than 20 hours away from starting the walk from here to losers bench. While driving to work the skinny me in my head that is trying to get out said "Play Beyonce, Love on Top!" So of course I listened. As I was driving and singing to the top of my lungs I started to realized that I have finally put my love for my self on top! I am 35 years old and at my heaviest weighed 280 something. I have put my husband, mother and kids in front of me for years!!!! Tomorrow I am dropping everything and putting myself in place for my own success. That is AWESOME ! So as I drove with tears burning my face I found that the lyrics to this song are not meant for just a man. They were written to for me and you! This is apart of my journey a[art of what i need to do for my own success. Do you find the truth in these lyrics? MARCH 21, 2012 I am excited to be on the final stretch of the pre op experience! Nervous - YEs! Why you ask? Because I am nervous about what the other side of BIG GIRL is out there! Excited??? Hell Yes! But, I am still me and know somethings will change but me being healthy and around for my husband and kids..... PRICELESS! I attached a picture from last year when I completed my first 10k this year I will be 10 days out from Surgery and still will finish it!! God Willing. Thanks you guys for giving the support and encouragement. SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY MARCH SLEEVES!!

You guys really made my appt. count. I asked: 1. Bougie size? He looked at me and laughed and said that it was a 36 and that no one ever asked! 2. How long would I stay in the hospital? 1 night maybe 2 depending on how I feel.(Did you know my kids wont be there!! May push 2 nights??!!LOL) 3. Drain? Yes, with removal instructions 4. Energy level? May be low can get b-12 shots if needed. 5.How long before I can drive? 1 week 6. Prescriptions prior to admittance? 1 Nausea med to take on the way to hospital. 7. Can i compete in the 10k that I have been training for 10 days post op? YES!!! Hope this helps others because it really helped me!

Tomorrow I have an appt. with my surgeon. What should I ask him? This is our last time together before my surgery. Any suggestion would be great. If I don't know what to say I may sit there quiet just nodding my head. HELP!

My information session was 12/21 My first Consult 1/3 Psyc Eval 1/6 NUT Eval 1/13 Approval Letter 1/24 Surgery Date 3/21 This was the first available date at my Dr. Office. My husband insurance with Anthem expires in June due to lay off so I am SUPER BLESSED to have gotten this underway quickly!
