Tomorrow makes me a full week out! I started full liquids as soon as I was released from the hospital. I have a JP drain and it is killing me. I suppose to have it removed tomorrow but, afraid that since it is still draining they may keep it in. How do I feel?? AWESOME! I am not getting fluids or Protein in right now, Maybe 24 oz a day. Love chicken broth. But, not feeling the shakes anymore. I can't even finish an entire one. I am able to walk over a mile and smile. I do have pain occasionally in my stomach but I think it is just my stomach missing the rest of itself.

I am less than 20 hours away from starting the walk from here to losers bench. While driving to work the skinny me in my head that is trying to get out said "Play Beyonce, Love on Top!" So of course I listened.
As I was driving and singing to the top of my lungs I started to realized that I have finally put my love for my self on top! I am 35 years old and at my heaviest weighed 280 something. I have put my husband, mother and kids in front of me for years!!!!
Tomorrow I am dropping everything and putting myself in place for my own success. That is AWESOME !
So as I drove with tears burning my face I found that the lyrics to this song are not meant for just a man. They were written to for me and you! This is apart of my journey a[art of what i need to do for my own success.

I am excited to be on the final stretch of the pre op experience!



Nervous - YEs! Why you ask? Because I am nervous about what the other side of BIG GIRL is out there!

SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY MARCH SLEEVES!!

I am being sleeved on 3/21/12 and am having a little bit of a hard time also. I am not in a liquid diet but only one meal per day. And the preference is lean meat and veggies....but I dont care for too many veggies. My surgeon's requirement is just to loose a few pounds before surgery. I'm really nervous but I CAN DO THIS!!!! Good luck on ur surgery!!!

My surgery is scheduled for March 12th and it would be great to have someone with a close surgery date to talk to.
I have about 100 pounds to loose and can't wait to get started on this journey.

I'm off to my last Dr. appointment before surgery in the a.m. so I'm so glad you asked this Priscilla and thanks to those who responded.
I've just started writing a list with these so I don't forget. Otherwise I would probably leave the office and then think to myself "I should have asked.... I wish I had asked.... What about this...?, etc."

Stop beating yourself up, next time just stick to no thank you. It is hard when other people don't know and you want to be polite, but its worse to eat something and then feel so bad physically and emotionally. Don't be so hard on yourself, we are all re-learning how to eat what is right for us.
Its a struggle for me too, its a constant struggle to eat what my body needs, not what my eyes want. Every time I think about getting something to eat that is outside what I should have I take a sip of Water. I know it is okay to have a treat every now and again, but right now I know that my relationship with food needs to improve.
On a happier note, the Protein I am drinking almost tastes like ice-cream to me, its Lean Dessert, maybe you can try it. Whenever I am drinking it, it doesn't taste like I am having a Protein shake, it tastes really good.

My head hair is falling out in droves, though. Weird how your body lets the good hair fall out, but clings to the bad hair, lol.

I have dark facial hair as a lovely side symptom of PCOS, and I wondered if It will go away after I lose the weight with my sleeve? Anyone else have or had this?

No one should get offended, I sure am not offended to talk about girly bits.
So, here I am 145lbs smaller, and I carried 90% of my weight in my abdomen. That little fat pad is gone, but there is a little extra skin there, nothing that hangs down, nothing droops, nothing that gets in the way, and when I lay down, my bone pops up. I talked to my PCM about it when he did my well woman, and he assured me that with my tummy tuck, it will be completely resolved. I know one lady that had some plastic surgery on her area, body contouring is what they called it. They liposuctioned the fat out, and tightened the skin during her tummy tuck and lower body lift. She now has painful sex because the bone protrudes and she has problems wearing under garments because she continued to lose body fat after her plastics. She said her clitoris is constantly exposed which might not be a problem for some, but I can't imagine trying to walk around with no skin covering my parts.
My stomach does not hang over my girly bits either. I can stand in the mirror and see everything clearly even though I have a bit of a fat roll on my lower abdomen still. It's there, I see it, my husband sees it, it's not a flap or anything like that, but it's there. My body keeps changing, and my fat has redistributed a handful of times since getting to goal so I'm thinking that I'm definitely waiting a few more months to have plastics. I've been at/below goal for a year now, and only 19 months post op so I figure if we don't get pregnant by June/July, I'll be 2 years out, and can go ahead with plastics.

Ok.. Maybe I am alone here, but I am tired of big boobs, I will be happy to trade them for small boobies after surgery!

I hope someone gives u advice cause I start my preop diet next week and that's a real concern of mine too!!! Oh my pore k-cups will waste away:(
