Snowing in Texas
Snow and cold is the common thing here in Detroit. We get it right after Zoe does in Chicago. Just shoveled 8" of that beautiful white stuff two days ago Tonight I left my in laws to head to church for 10pm services. Got to church at 9:30 for a short choir practice before services and then had the mass. Got out church at 11:30 and went to my car to head to work and my three bottles of Propell where frozen already. Now thats cold. Its like 5 degrees out there right now. Since being banded and lossing weight I'm cold all the time and never was before. Dr says its because when you carry that extra weight your systems are always active and that creates warmth. Used to sleep in the winter time without blankets and was always comfortable. Now its PJ's socks and two blankets and comforter. And I'm still chilled. lol Oh well I'll take this instead of the extra weight.

1st annual BANDSTOCK
Becky, Yes I'm from the 60's (was very young then...actually still very young LOL) Was a great time for music in those days. Still cling to the radio stations that play the classics when I'm not on talk radio trying to expand my horizons. Those "Funny Brownies" would actually qualify as any meal in those days. lol Were a great side dish to prime rib. Funny how life changes...Used to take drugs to get away from reality now we take them to get back...Me I just stand up fast to get the same feeling used to get in those days. Isn't life grand. Merry Christmas all

1st annual BANDSTOCK
Paula...Yes I went to Woodstock. August of 69 was a traveling month for me and my buddies. We all left in Sept of 69 for Viet Nam. We drove for several days to get to Woodstock and never did actually make it to the field as the Police had shut down the roads when we got there. But we did party just outside the main event and could hear the music. And if I could ever find my tickets (somewhere in one of these boxes of my past I have dragged with me thru my life) I could post them here. I was a Janis and Jimmie freak back in those days. And now they are both gone. I also went to See the Beatles when they first came to Detroit at the old Olympia Stadium. Now I'm a talk radio freak...lol

Chicago bash, anyone?
LOL Becky It means "What are you doing on this fine day" I really enjoyed taking Italian and I love to listen to those who speak the romantic languages. I can read Italian and write it I just can't get my brain to formulate the words so I can speak it.( Hell I have a hard enough time duing this with the enh=glish language) I actually took it in college so I'd be able to understand what my mother in law and my wife's grandmother would say when I walked into a room. LOL they would be talking english till I showed up the switch to Italian. After I took it found out due to their Dialect I couldn't understand them anyway. I learned formal Italian.

Chicago bash, anyone?
I'm interested in making the trip no matter when you have it. I just need a two month lead to make vacation arraignments at work. Of course I am retired and don't really need this job. So If I want to go and they won't let me I can quit. LOL they take so long to hire replacements here that I'll be back from Chicago and all forgiven by then they will just take me back LOL Becky, you have to go to Mexico for classes. What no one teaches English where you live??? Chi Cosa fi d'bella Oggi?( results of 4 yrs Italian in college...its all I remember lol)

Car accident
As A retired accident investigator I agree with Zoe. Go see a Dr. You said your not injuried but sometimes it takes a day or two for that whiplash to kick in and when it does your insurance co will fight you on it because they will make it your burden to prove it was from accident and not something you did after. Glad to hear that you feel your ok. Don't need to be lossing anyone from here especially this time of the year. Good luck with all you got ahead of you with insurance.

One-on-one holiday exercise challenge, anyone?
Becky, My friend who turned me onto the lapband had his surgery in Feb 2004 and he has only had one fill which he got about a month ago. And he is only two pounds from his goal weight of lossing 90 pounds. He looks great(I'm not but if I was inclined he'd be my man Lol). I have had three fills and the way this last one is going I can't believe I'd ever need another. So I'm hoping everything pops in place as I had not loss this week. But I'm happy got a smile on my face all the time. Will get all the stats compliled in a day or two. Still behinf=d due to family committments but will get it done cause I consider you all(there is that southern drawel I'm picking up from some of you) family too so makes this a committment. God Bless one and all

weekly scale challenge
Well I guess Vegas was a week latew catching up to me. I was sop glad to have lost a pound after going there that I was so dedicated to this weeks program that I was sure I was down at least 10 pounds. Well no movement on the scale. As disheartening as it may be its still Good. This type news would have, In my other life sent me off the edge. But I'm still focusing on my goal. Won't weight in again till after Christmas and at this pointI have not meet my goal of 255. 2 short right now but I can't be happier that I'm on the right track. Maybe I'll use 255 as my Easter Goal. LOL should have no trouble then . Found this last nite and I thought you'd all enjoy it

Darcey, 12/21 is Your Day!
Darcey, I know your already on your way and won't get this till your back but I wanted to wish you Godspeed in your recovery and pray that the surgeons hands will be guided by the Almighty. Like Vera I also lost a family member on Dec 21st 32yrs ago. She was not only my best friend but my grandmother too. I like Vera talk to her all the time and I have asked that every year that the 21 be a special day and so far she has granted me that. So this year I'm asking her to watch over you during your surgery. So you'll be fine. grandma was not one to mess with.

Crazy Family & Inlaw stories
I will tell you guys something but it must be in strictest confidence. They said they would come back and take me away for good if I every went public. Here it is: My family is all weird. Both my side and my wifes. Along with 98% of my former friends. They all walked away from me shortly after I was abducted by Aliens. No-one would believe me about how they took me up from a country road and performed experiments on me and made me do all kinds of stuff. It was hell for the three yrs (alien time, actully about two minutes earth time) that I was gone. Missed everyone so much yet they all look at me like "I'M THE WIERD ONE" Geez. They have no idea. Anyway just in case you ever have a chance to met anyone in my family now you know why they are like they are. "IT'S REALLY TOUGH BEING THE ONLY SANE ONE IN A FAMILY"

Solid Foods, Pbing, Family And More!!!
Steve, I had my first alcohol drink when I was in Vegas two weeks ago. Tried a beer and it didn't settle well:ermm . But then it only took one beer to get me drunk in the past. HMMM i think it was the fourteenth one that did it each time LOL. My drinking days are way past me but even if they weren't I'd be inclined to give it up as the alcohol turns to sugars in the system and can really mess up a days planning of good eating. And the resturant trips now produce an extra meal or two. I just have to remember to pick up that darn doggie bag when I leave. Just wasn't used to that.
