How Do You Sleep At ...
Had severe sleep apnea before. Besides the loud snoring I actually woke up few times in middle of night gulping for air. Scared the heck out of me. I work in nursing homes and someone was admitted after suffering a stroke due to sleep apnea and its one of the reasons I ended doing the surgery. 5 1/2 months later and 75 pounds lighter, my wife does not hear a sound and I sleep like a baby.

What Was Your Breaking Point?
My breaking point was all my medical issues due to being almost 300lbs. Borderline diabetic, severe sleep apnea, high BP, achy body all over. I couldn't breathe just putting on my socks. Now 4 1/2 months postop all all of my issues are GONE. I am a new man. I have lost close to 70lbs total. Have never thrown up but like others have said. Listen to your body and the warning signs when you get full. But for those of you who are nervous or scared or not sure what surgery to get, the sleeve is the way to go in my opinion. It will change your life and yes it's not easy at first but as time goes by it gets better and better.

Thinking Of Getting Rid Of My Band For The Sleeve.....advice?
My wife got the band 10 years ago and till today throws up at times because of food getting stuck. After seeing her struggles over the years when it came to my surgery I chose the sleeve and boy am I glad I did. I'm now 9 weeks out and have not vomited once. With the sleeve you can eat just about all foods as supposed to the band some foods will always get stuck. just one example I can eat pasta or lomein already with no issues and she can't even after all these years. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of similarities but just go to the section on here on revisions and see the comments there. Good luck on your decision. Oh btw I have already lost 51 lbs!!

Chicken Lomein
Went out last night and to my surprise I was able to eat a lot of the lomein. Went down no problem. Had a few pieces of the chicken. I am at 8 1/2 weeks and down 51 lbs.

Out For Dinner
I agree it is too early for chicken. I am 8 weeks out and now I can eat a drumstick at the most. I had also 2 small pieces of grilled chicken.

Losing Too Quick! Am I Crazy For Complaining?
One reason why I posted the question to begin with was because someone told me that her brother and sister-in-law both had WLS and her brother lost all of his needed weight and couldnt stop losing and became very very thin. He was weak all the time and he became a different person. I would assume in most cases your body knows when it is time to stop losing and then you just maintain the proper weight you should be.

Losing Too Quick! Am I Crazy For Complaining?
I second that. It was obviously a joke and in no way we would act like children racing with our lives! Crystal I understood from the start what you meant.
