  1. Thanks wannabe but, I've only lost 10 lbs since my surgery. I did lose 10 lbs on the pre-op diet but, I really don't count those because they are the same 10 lbs I gained from the time of my 1st consultation appt until my the start of my pre-op diet. They took the Fluid out of my lapband at the consultation. I guess to give my stomach a break before surgery. So, I've lost 10 lbs so far in 3 weeks 2 days. Maybe I'll lose another 10 lbs this week. Ha, ha. Oh well, I'll take something over nothing any day.
  2. I don't know anything about wigs but, have you tried the hair "makeup"? It's a powder like eyeshadow but it helps darken your scalp so hair loss isn't as noticeable.
  3. Wow Jailynn! That gives me hope! How many calories do you usually have per day and how much exercise?
  4. How long did it take to get to your goal? I understand we're all different but trying to get an estimate. So far it's been realy slow.
  5. I have no idea but I hope it gets better and you figure it out. Can you call and ask your doctor about it without going in for a visit?
  6. The hospital where I had surgery gave me a little business card that has a picture of what a sleeved stomach looks like with liver and intestines on the front. On the back it says this person has had surgery to reduce the size of the stomach to hold 3 oz or less... it's the same one you can use at a resturant but, they told me to keep it behind my drivers license in case of an emergency. I was thinking about writing "VSG SX" on the back of my license with a sharpie. I believe the main concern in an emergency is an NG tube could cause damage.
  7. Good luck to you both Diva and Faddi. Keep us posted on your progress.
  8. Congrats on your surgiversary. You can do it! It's not a race. Don't give up.
  9. Glad you're doing good. Hope you continue to have a speedy recovery.
  10. The dress looks great. That was so nice.
  11. I don't understand how I can have a slight gain (8 oz) from yesterday to today. My total calories yesterday were 800. Drank all my water and burned about 200 cals walking (w/ hills). This not that TOM. Ugh!!!
  12. Good luck Carlos. Let us know how you're doing.
  13. Congratulations! I wish I had gotten the sleeve instead of the lapband 3 years ago.
  14. The crunch of sf tropical frozen popsicles helped some. I was on full liquids for the first two weeks post op.
  15. Wow! 115lbs in 8 mos. You look fabulous. Do you have any tips for us newbies? What's a typical day's meal plan? How much are you exercising?
  16. I agree with getting labwork. Maybe hypothyroidism or something else. Take care!
  17. Wow! 81 lbs!!!! You look great too! Any advice for us newbies?
  18. I'm about 2 1/2 wks out and I've had no problems getting liquids in since I got home from the hospital. No problems with mushies at all. Does this mean my sleeve is bigger, I'm healing much faster, or am I stretching my sleeve by eating/ drinking to much?? I kinda envy those who are tight.
  19. Congrats! You you great. I hope I can lose that much in a month. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Women! We're so evil. Congrats!!! Keep coming here. We'll always be supportive and won't be jealous ^$%&*%.
