  1. You can do whatever you set your heart on. I'm only 5'4" and chose 170 for goal. Why??? 1.) zero loose skin 2.) realistic to achieve 3.) easy to maintain 4.) still considered overweight but I could care less-- 5.) no longer obese 6.) kept my curves 7.) I'm in a size 10-12 and medium or large tops and I look and feel cute!! Sure I could lose more but would risk regain and get saggy skin and would have more body issues than before... Just my 1 cents
  2. I agree, I know everyone does things differently but I was eating 1200-1500 cals a day and made goal at 8 months out..... eating 1800-2000 now to maintain for the last 3.5 months...
  3. I am almost a year out and this hasn't happened to me since 5 months out. and it happened 6 times or less total.
  4. you seem to be one of the lucky ones that didn't have a lot of post op swelling! you'll notice restriction when you get to solids I wouldn't worry a bit
  5. What I have noticed is that I am the same shape as I was before just a mini version of it. I have kept my thunder thighs and big butt, lol
  6. another good part about not getting too thin off the bat is that maintaining 160's is much more pleasant and easy than maintaining 120's! the chance to regain weight is so much higher if you get very thin. My goal is to just maintain, no more yo-yo-ing for me
  7. I think with the sleeve unless you have a lot of complications is it easy to find a weight you like and stick to it. I did not want to get too thin either, and according to BMI charts I am still overweight. but I DON'T CARE. I like being a size 12, medium tops- I am normal, curvy, thick and healthy.
  8. I tried to pot roast 2 months out and it got stuck and I slimed for 1 hour. horrible!
  9. no problems with anything, even early out-- hence my name "sleeve of steel"
  10. I ate a lot of baby bel cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, tuna salad, egg salad, turkey pepperoni-- I spread small amounts out into 6 meals per day.
  11. I am with you here and keep wondering the same thing. I have good days and some bad. I have found new things to be insecure about as well. :-( I try to keep a positive attitude and look at pictures before and after sometimes to keep myself in check.
  12. I could never drink them, so I never have and never will!!
  13. well actually most birth control pills do not take away your period- unless you are talking about the "4 periods a year" kind??
  14. I was awake for all of mine ( I have had 3-- but I had plenty of versed and fentanyl. that's very odd that you had such a rough time with this. Usually this procedure is a breeze. (I am a nurse)
  15. I would say I felt good after 2-3 weeks and great at 8 weeks!
  16. I have decided to join my fitness pal and take off 10 more pounds. I have been sitting at goal for 3 months or so. I have not tracked what I have eaten post-op and the weight just fell off. I will have to put some effort into these last 10.....I can do this! Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Anyone else do something similar to this?? I think I will be on the boards more keeping focused.
  17. Congrats on your pregnancy! You look stunning as usual :-)
  18. you are drop dead gorgeous, before and after. I would kill for your bod, and face. if you like how you look then there is no reason to go 20 pounds lighter if you are healthy!
  19. nice! I love silver jeans too!!
  20. yes I was told to do this. it is hard. But its only a temporary habit action. I have been chewing normally now since 3 months out....
  21. I think that is very reasonable! Good luck im excited for you
