One year through the trials of hell
Hey you! Good to hear from you again. I have to say the one post I remember from you had to be where you were very negative towards women when you were talking about dating. I can totally understand as I've been on the flip side of that, dating as a fat girl back in the day. I have to say though that your outlook seems to have improved so much, which is what your post is about more than anything. Have you dated post op? Any reflections on that? WTG on all that working out btw, I NEEED someone to be a b***h to me at the gym!

OMG..13 days till surgery and I am changing my mind
LOW Carb! Keep your carbs below 30 a day and you will drop that weight. The SLEEVE IS THE BEST! I've never regretted it 1 second since I got it!

Did this for me
Congrats to you and friendships post-op have been difficult for me. You are just boarding onto the best ride of your life. Some dips but mostly you will be touching the clouds.

Bruised but not Broken
Wow, you are lucky to be alive! We were in a similar but not as bad accident the day before I left to get my sleeve. If I could give you any advice it would be to contact a lawyer now. I thought I was just shaken, nothing broken, and was prepared to just dealing with the other person's insurance but since I have had major back pain which I didn't know would be life long till later. Your lawyer will take care of insuring that you get the care (chiropractic/physical therapy) even long after the wreck while their insurance company will only want to pay for a small portion and then nothing after a year. In a wreck like that you surely had neck/back injuries even if their aren't any broken bones.

Low BMI to Start - Anyone Else?
LAPBAND? Not yelling at you but those are FAILBANDS! They destroy people's stomachs and have all kinds of problems and are even riskier than the VSG. If you decide to get a lapband send me the money and i'll punch ya in the gut a few times, might save ya some heartache.

Wearing a Binder?

Oct 8th check in
October 8th was my 1 year sleeve anniversary so I just wanted to respond and give you all a little update. Next year at this time you will be so skinny! Keep on keeping on your plans! Almonds are great to have as are cheese. I keep a little package of almonds in my purse along with beef jerky. Stalls will happen to the previous poster. Dont' up your calories just keep on keeping on! I stall 3 weeks a month then lose about 5lbs in one week. You will get there. THIS WILL WORK!

when is it ok to drink alchohol?
I had some wine about 2 months out. No big deal. Don't over do it and be aware that you will get drunk fast with your sleeve. I've blacked out once and passed out another time. You have to be very careful. Both those episodes were way over 6 months out and had to do with drinking too much too fast.

GOODBYE to my Mirena??
Get the copper IUD. I can't have the horomones since I had a bloodclot in 03, and I think that's why they want you off the one you have now. The copper one I still have periods and sometimes they can be heavy but it's no big deal and I LURVE my IUD! BTW From what I've heard the hormones work locally not systemically meaning it doesn't get into your blood stream to affect bloodclots. My Dr didn't seem to agree but ask yours why you can't have it and mention what I just said.

It's not ever winter yet and I can't take it

Popcorn safe to eat?
The kernels can get stuck in your suture or staple line which is why it's a no no until 3 months. I'd wait on popcorn and pomgrantes.
