    feel irritated

This conversation has actually been helpful. I am down 40lbs total and just stopped. I have had only 1 fill since my surgery in January. I am still hungry, but definately not eating what i use to before the band. i do feel some restrictions when it comes to certain foods. I guess patience is the main key here and focus on what you have accomplished. I was wondering if it was something i was doing. so i have been super strict with myself, but i dont want to create negative habits. But i guess i got so excited to constantly see movement on the scale, to the numbers not budging at all. Lets keep encouraging each other people, to keep moving forward.
  2. Well i am 1 1/2 out of surgery and down 34lbs since January. I am happy with my weight loss, I have learned not to compare myself to others because i am already my worst critic. I am still learning and i have not had a fill yet, so my appetite has increased, but i am trying to continue making the best choices until my fill. This journey has been up and down, but the greatest thing is that i am still motivated to keep going.

Good for you…it IS a wild ride this lap-band journey of ours. So glad to see you are having success and cutting yourself some slack…we are often our OWN worse critics!

Thanks Chasingadream. Its definately not easy. So one day at a time. Thanks for the words of encouragement. What are you doing for exercise? I am still fishing around for something i enjoy and can stick to.

    Pretty discouraged

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this? What have they said about you only losing 10lbs? Is there another medical team that you can get care with? Im not very familiar with the slimband

i had to get clearance from the cardiologist pre surgery. all of the sudden i was in a whirlwind of tests. a nuculer stress tests showed a sick heart in capable of undergoing wls. i had to have a cardiac cath that should my arteries were nice and clean. so wls approved. so don't sweat it right now. most overwt. ppl have irregular hb. hence one of the reason we want to lose wt. chin up it will all work out

JeanZ- you could be right. to me its a little reality check. i had a few test done in the beginning of 2013 and everything was ok, but my number count for being at risk of developing diabetes was high, but who knows what else was going on. i have never had an ekg to even know if this has been something long standing or something gradual since i started gaining weight. i did my blood work again, and it shows that my cholesterol is a little elevated and that has never happened to me before....

  10. Hey guys, I recieved a date of January 29th and I start my liquid diet January 15th. This is becoming very real. I find myself becoming very emotional and anxious a little bit.
  11. As my surgery date comes closer...I become more anxious.... in less than 2 weeks I start my liquid dirt.

  13. soooooooooo.... Yesterday was my first doctor appointment. And I must say, I am so excited. I was a bit nervous, but the surgeon and his staff were awesome. I actually was able to meet the Nurse, Nutritionist, and Surgeon. We had a very long discussion and I felt so comfortable talking about my fears and expectations. I was provided information on what the insurance company expects, and I am excited. Ready for this new way of life. Next month I go for sleep study, 1st nutritionist appt, psych...

    newly banded

Hi Bread addict, WLS= weight loss surgery. i havent had any yet. I am still in the beginning stages of meeting with the doctor and so forth. I am still considering which one might be best for me. My job is a sitting job mostly, so i might not have any real concerns when it comes to going back to work. I am glad you are doing so much better.
