  1. Started pre op jan 2, surgery jan 13, supposed to be on liquids til jan 30. I am craving the foods on the next level, like cottage cheese, yogurt, etc., so I started on jan 26, 1 meal a day, along with the broth, water, jello, yucky protein shakes, and I feel better. I'm reading on this site how so many people are onto soft foods at this point I figured it wouldn't hurt. So tired of broth, water, jello and sugary sweet protein shakes.

  3. Wow, you look great and so pretty too. Enjoy your weight loss. I'm on my path, can't wait til I experience those exciting momemts too. Very happy for you!
  4. Had surgery January 13, and am 1 week out and I'm always cold! Lost 13 lbs so far down from 200 to 187 and I'm cold and a little weak. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and I used to have hot flashes all the time, not anymore. Maybe lacking vitamins?

  8. I am so done with the way it/I used to be. I play the tape in my head of what it has been like emotionally, spiritually &physically for the last 10 years of being morbidly obese. I felt like I was missing out then, trapped, tired and miserable. I feel like I have a new lease on life now. So glad I did it. Gonna fill my time with travel, exercise, hang out with friends and family, go dancing with my husband and do fun things with my 10 year old.

  10. It was suggested that I buy them from the nut at my doctors office, so I bought them. Just ordered Unjury sample pack, but will look into the premier at my local BJ's and jay robb at my local vitamin shoppe. Thanks for answering, love this website!
  11. Thanks, never thought it could be that. Does anyone have any other suggestions other than optifast vanilla shakes? I really only prefer vanilla.
  12. Hi, im noticing every time I drink my optifast 800 shakes my heart beats faster. I also get the sharts! Anyone else have the same experience? Could it be sugar rush from the drink?

  14. I mentally wrote a list of pros and cons....pros far outweighed the cons, I didn't even have to write it on paper. That, this website, my therapist and almost everyone i confided in knew someone who had the surgery with great results inspired me. Also the fact that it was done laparoscopically made it seem doable, so I did-last Monday. You can do it!
  15. Yes,when I told,my 10 year old daughter about my surgery, she patted and rubbed my stomach and said she would miss my mushy, gushy stomach. Felt guilt like I should leave it there for her but knew I had to soldier on since I passed along my bad eating habits. I know when she sees how much more active I will become, and all the things we can do she won't remember that. I'm 4 days post op and she's been very supportive and helpful. Good luck.
  16. I heard that also, but while I was being prepped for surgery they hospital socks on me....
  17. Going in in 2 days, thanks for the report....

  20. I took Tylenol....having sleeve surgery on 1/13. I had bad headaches all day yesterday, 2nd day of pre op diet, detoxing too, took 2 Tylenol in the am and 2 in the pm. Feel better today. I know I cannot take any aspirin 1 week prior to surgery per my primary doctor....
  21. Loved it and you look great!
