Yes I have heard the same Missy, that they are great if you are prepping for a wedding or something but at 65 a month or whatever it is it's just not realistic in my oppinion. I'm just going to keep running and hold out for my Tummy Tuck in a year or two!

I went back to work after 3 days with the limitation of lifting no more than 20lbs. I was just fine but was do tired by the end of the first few days. Some people have said they needed a full two weeks. Only you know your body and how you heal, recover, and handle pain. I think 3 weeks would be more than enough though! Good luck!!

I am 6 weeks out and did not have or want a fill when I went for my doc appt this past Friday. Im satisfied with 3 meals and 1 small snack a day. Averaging around 1000 calories a day. I have no cravings and am only eating when Im supposed to. Im eating about 1/2 cup- 1 cup of food each meal.
I am doing okay without a fill and am happy to keep moving forward for as long as I can without one. I do feel a little hungry as the next meal approaches and I'm okay with that....I haven't "felt" hunger in so many many many years I actually like having the feeling and knowing that it is true hunger and not head hunger or boredom or anything else.
    Wishing you much success!

As anyone skipped their first fill? Mine is scheduled in a week but I'm still eating less than 1,000 calories a day. I'll eat 1/2 - 1 cup of mushies and I'm full for 4-5 hours. I've even gotten stuck (just for a minute or two) from too big of a bite of Greek Yogurt, blended chili, refried Beans or Cottage cheese. I'm two weeks out from surgery now and have been on mushies for the last week per my surgeons schedule. Thanks for any advice!

Warning to the newbie haters... I'm only two weeks out! Lol
But... I'm here trying to figure all this out and I don't need support as much as advice and answers so I'm definitely on the, "give it to me straight" bandwagon! I'm wondering what my body is telling me and what it needs and you little experts better give me the hard, cold facts!!

I waited until today to buy it and leftovers are going to work on Friday. I've decided to allow myself 2 pieces while we're handing out tomorrow so I don't have to feel sorry for myself and know to leave myself an extra 200 calories tomorrow so I don't exceed. And I'll crank up the treadmill tomorrow so I can be guilt free ????

The chewable gas-x really works wonders for gas pains, as does walking (even if it's just around your house).
I find that Protein powder in my coffee works well. Although I do have to use the blender to get it to not clump together.
Once you get to full liquids I find that egg drop Soup is a great Breakfast and quick to make.

Yay got home and am officially a bandster! Surgery went great, very impressed with my experience and I feel great! In fact, I felt good enough to stop by another hospital on the way home to see a family member who had a heart-valve replacement today. Sipping on some Soup broth and moving all about. Let the Journey begin!
