  11. Congrats to all of you 'losers'! You're doing fantastic!
  12. I went back to work after 3 days with the limitation of lifting no more than 20lbs. I was just fine but was do tired by the end of the first few days. Some people have said they needed a full two weeks. Only you know your body and how you heal, recover, and handle pain. I think 3 weeks would be more than enough though! Good luck!!

  19. Warning to the newbie haters... I'm only two weeks out! Lol But... I'm here trying to figure all this out and I don't need support as much as advice and answers so I'm definitely on the, "give it to me straight" bandwagon! I'm wondering what my body is telling me and what it needs and you little experts better give me the hard, cold facts!!
  20. Congrats!! That's super exciting!!
  21. I went back to work after 3 days, just with a note that I can't lift more than 20lbs

  23. You totally can!! I'm excited for you!!
  24. My surgeons office wrote my letter for me. I went through True Results in Austin and LOVE them!!
  25. Thank you all! Before surgery I was hoping they'd be aggressive and get me filled up immediately but now two weeks out I'm thinking I sure hope they don't want to add much until I get used to eating this way! Lol I know I still have a way to go before I talk it out with my nutritionist but I'm expecting this bandster hell starvation and, luckily, haven't experienced it yet. The hardest part is the anticipation and not knowing exactly what's normal or what to expect since everyone seems to be so different on this journey!
  26. As anyone skipped their first fill? Mine is scheduled in a week but I'm still eating less than 1,000 calories a day. I'll eat 1/2 - 1 cup of mushies and I'm full for 4-5 hours. I've even gotten stuck (just for a minute or two) from too big of a bite of Greek Yogurt, blended chili, refried beans or Cottage cheese. I'm two weeks out from surgery now and have been on mushies for the last week per my surgeons schedule. Thanks for any advice!
  27. I'm a week post-op and just today felt hungry for the first time. I didn't even come close to getting my protein in last week but I walked, stayed hydrated, and feel just fine! I'll focus more on nutrition this week!!
  28. When you find the answer to that you'll be rich and famous! Lol Our brains can definitely be our own worst enemies.
