  1. My favorite puréed food is cauliflower (preferable STEAMED- but it can be boiled) once they are soft throw it in a blender or food processor, add cream cheese and a little bit if butter, blend to the consistency of mashed potatoes..... So good!!
  2. You look FANTASTIC!
  3. Found a groupon for a two-hour shooting range tour. Registration, safety workshop AND amo included for $49..... For my next 30 lbs goal, that will be my reward and I'm hoping the savings are still available by my birthday in 4 months, which is when I hope to have lost the 30.
  4. LoL!! How far post op ARE you?
  5. I came to the conclusion that I get TIGHTER during my period. I had a horrible 3 days this week not being able to eat MOST of the things I'm accustom to eat with my band, by day four, when my flow had significantly slowed down, my band was more relaxed as well
  6. It because some people ERRONEOUSLY believe WLS is the easy way out, having been post op for 5 months, I can tell you it's never been easy. Good luck on pushing through your decision.
  7. This is a bit "all-over-the-placeISH", but I don't think you should wait.
  8. Sorry, I didn't notice that the link didn't post. Here it is: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/
  9. I have the cookies and cream but only use it occasionally. I like that they are very filling and they taste great!
  10. What do you usually have?? I'm following Atkins (low carb) so I'm known to eat dinner for breakfast, and breakfast for dinner from time to time. The other day I had (leftover) steak for "breakfast" (it was noon) and had eggs for dinner...
  11. Delete the app and download it again if you haven't tried that yet. But be a careful, sometimes when I do that, I can't download the app again If it requires the latest OS... But since this app was recently updated, I don't think that would happen.
  12. Hahahaha!! So funny! I just LOVEEEEEE this post! Thanks, Indigo1991!!
  13. Ok, well I don't know her, much less what her SALARY is. And even if I knew, I wouldn't venture into making further comments as to what she can or can not do with it.... I only wish her the best
  14. LindaFromFlorida.... SHE IS THE BREAD WINNER... So, no, that won't be an issue.
  15. God help anyone who comes here to "bash" you... We will tear them to shreds after ripping them a whole new one. I'm glad you came back and shared with us the update on this. You have a whole new life ahead of you. Best wishes!! XOXOXOXOX your girls are angels.
  16. I've been too tight before and knew it within four hours of getting the fill... I RAN to the ER to get it emptied out and I won't stand a life on "liquids", not only because I enjoy eating (even with my band) but because I know the very health of my band depends on not keeping it too tight. Thanks for all your answers.
  17. Heyyyyyy, y'all. Advise time....! My last fill (.5 for a total of 7 in a 10) was last Tuesday. liquids for three days, soft for another three and that brings me to yesterday and today. On Monday I had steak, not too bad, except some parts were overcooked and I had a little trouble with those parts. I wasn't able/willing to try anything too crazy so I stayed with shakes since I had just gotten a case on Sunday and I missed having them (it had been more than a month without them). Today, I was invited to have lunch with my daughter's school's parent coordinator and I had to profusely apologize to her for not being able to finish the little bit of lasagna I set aside from the whole order she got just for me, and for having to excuse myself to go to the bathroom because I was sliming. (Thank God we know each other well, otherwise I would be HORRIFIED!!) My question is, I know sometimes it takes a few days for the fill to "settle" how long should I wait till I decide to get some taken out? PS. I have an appointment coming up on 1/21 (next Tuesday)
  18. ohhhhh, I thought they were protein shakes... It's unnecessary to say this AGAIN, but it's possible that if you call your surgeon they will allow you to progress to all liquids--- but NEVER solids!!!! ((No eggs!!!)) Like B-52 said, this is the headrest stages, and the most critical for compliance! Don't feel bummed to call the office (I know sometimes we feel like we bother them or don't wanna let them know we are "starving") but that's their JOB... They get payed heftily to do it. So call 50 times a day if you must!!
  19. I was drinking protein shakes on day 2, I see you are already drinking them.
  20. "People" don't walk in your shoes. They don't matter, what matters is YOU, how you feel, and what you want to do. Screw them!!
  21. Papaya enzymes are chewable and practically dissolve on your tongue. Also, they are pretty small.
