  1. Wishful Shrinking, HET OUTTA MY HEAD, girl!!! You have described me in every word of your post. However, the times I struggle with this most is when I catch a glimpse of myself outside of my home. I see myself & what I'm wearing so fabulous when I get dressed, then I walk by a mirror and I'm horrified!! Even after losing 40 (40 more to go) it might also be a lighting issue at home.
  2. Thats the funniest thing I've heard in a long time!! You sound like a great couple. awweeeee...! I'm sorry.... For the 40 years!! LmAoooo!! Just kidding. Why would it get "lost"?? It's just one more day?!! MEN!! lmaoooo!! What about for Valentine's Day, would you forgive her then? all wonderful I deed!!
  3. LmAooooooo!!! I didn't expect to get so many laughs!!! Still, I think I got the WORSE one yet. My hubby is a WONDERFUL man, and I love him deeply.... But boy is he clueless!!! I'm not materialistic at ALL, but how is it I drop hints and flat out tell you what I want: a gym membership (which once I realized he wasn't getting it I got for myself), gift certificate for a massage & facial, OR hair extensions (a bit pricy, and I really want to get them for MYSELF when I start working), you come home with a jukebox O.O Albeit, it was personalized. But I wonder if he got it for ME or himself. Ggggrrrrr. LoL! I gotta laugh to not cry. Two years ago I asked for a bicycle for my birthday, I got an iPad.... I love my iPad and use it everyday, but I REALLY wanted a bike, since I'm the only one who doesn't have one in the family.
  4. i NEVER want to see space between my thighs!!!
  5. Like when it comes to gift-giving. Or What we should be eating.
  6. Tiffany, baby, you don't NEED help. You've got all the help you need right there on your tummy. Use it wisely. What do you eat day to day? Ate you moving around a little more as a form of exercise? I think you're doing on. Don't fret.
  7. I like to think I like to be as stress-free as possible.
  8. B-52, I often feel very awkward when eating in pubic. How do you manage to eat the Bandit way: slow, small, and far apart, without being/feeling/looking awkward?
  9. Holidays, parties, bbqs, or any social gathering do NOT make me afraid. I AM in control as long as I chew well, take small bites, and listen when it's time to stop.
  10. How long have you been burping and sliming (that saliva you're talking about)?? If you can't keep anything down you should call your doctor right away. Don't wait, like the poster said above, it can get really serious. Let us know how it goes. Good luck! PS.... Do NOT wait three days.
  11. You should never have trouble keeping things down unless you didn't chew right, eat too fast or take too big a bite. Are these the reasons why you're having issues? And water should never ever give you trouble.
  12. These were already vacuumed sealed, so I guess I'm good.
  13. Btw, it's been about 5 hours and I'm NOT HUNGRY AT ALL. Thank you, band!
  14. How well do they hold up upon defrosting? I don't wanna put the other two in the freezer for fear it will somehow compromise the final product. I never buy more than one, for that same exact fear, but my 10 year old loves steak and I bought three.
  15. Is having filet mignon for BREAKFAST too pretentious??? I think NOT!
  16. B-52, please don't leave!! I could never scroll down and skip posts you've posted on here. I look forward to your advice/experience every time I log in . You too, CG
  17. I THINK I LOVE YOU
  18. Kyleebean, what is the name, city & state, AND your surgeon's name? (The one who installed the band). The world should know his name!!! How were you able to live SIX YEARS with a band that was too right?! Why did you let your surgeon dictate what was done and what happened or didn't happen to your body? I'm not condemning you, I just would like to know how did you cope and why weren't you your own advocate.

  20. What does your surgeon say?? By two weeks I was already back to normal, if I could remember correctly.
  21. Yes, a fill can leave you swollen inside but it shouldn't get you to a point where you can't keep liquids down. I had an aggressive fill two months ago and when I tried to drink coffee (because warm liquids relax the band) about two hours later, something went horribly wrong! Later that night I checked myself in the ER and demanded they take all the saline out. It sounds to me like you're too tight.
  22. You can lose 100+ pounds. Who said you couldn't lose more???
  23. If I could hug each and every one of you I WOULD. Thank you for your responses; they were, for the most part, things I ALREADY knew, but I guess I just needed to HEAR it again to drive it home. Missy, I know the band's job is not to physically make us not eat, what I meant by I can eat more than a cup is that sometimes I'm not totally satisfied with that little bit of food... Although that might be a "head" thing, and I'll probably sort through that issue as I learn more about being in GREEN. Thanks for all the info Nana, I don't ever want to be near RED. I was there once after an aggressive fill, and I ran to the emergency room the same night because a sip of coffee almost killed me. Yes, I need to slow down. I noticed that all the times I've found myself in trouble, it has been times when I'm eating right before I leave the house, or when it's almost time to pick up the kids and I haven't had lunch yet, or when we are going shopping and its getting late... I also have to start using my TIMER again. I had it set for every four hours and I wouldn't eat before it went off. I need to start doing that again. I definitely know I'm not TOO tight, as I'm able to eat dense food with no problem, as long as I take my time. B-52, I have 6.5 in a 10 band and its probably my 6th or 7th fill (I lost track). It sure does feel like a balancing act. I hope I have this all figured out soon. I'll start with eating slowwwwwer. Thanks again to all of you for helping me figure out I DON'T need another fill (for now) and that I am, indeed, at GREEN!! Now I just have to learn how to really work this to my advantage. XOXOXOXO
