  1. Yeah!!!! Congrats!!!
  2. Lol I guess you're right huh??? Lol
  3. Oh my. Thank you for that explanation. I had never heard of it. I hope it all works out for you.
  4. Yes, it is part of the journey. Nothing to worry about. You will have many days like that. Just keep eating right and exercising and you will be fine. Good luck on your journey.
  5. Hi there and congratulations on 10 years. I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with your band in the beginning but am glad to know that it was caught in time for your esophagus. Please excuse my ignorance but what is a DS?
  6. I wouldn't say "most" people without statistically speaking. In this case, I would say some people but thanks for that information. Sorry that you felt that way and yes it is hard to lose organs and what not. I have had several other surgeries prior to this one as well but never had a "remorseful" feeling. Anyway, good luck on your journey.
  7. Awesome, congratulations. Continued success.
  8. Hi there Ms. Vicki. I guess my question is: why is it worse that your hubby counts calories and you didn't join him? If it worked for him and the rest of us, don't you think it would work for you too? All you have to do is make up your mind and do it. Good luck. I hope you don't have to change to another surgery. It sounds like you just need to use the tool that you already have to work with and for you. Getting filled will help.
  9. Yes ma'am I did. I love to drink tropical drinks, but I only have one rather than two or three like I used to pre-band. So go ahead girl and enjoy you a drink every now and then.
  10. Um, actually not everyone. After you have dieted, and dieted, and dieted and tried pills and you are finally blessed to have a surgery to help you acquire the healthiness you need, "remorse" as you put it is never a thought. Ms. Chloe, I applaud you for having this surgery. I didn't know that it could be done on children under the age of 18. Talk about learning something new everyday. Just follow your doctor's advice and read the different posts on this board and you will be fine. Of course if you still have questions, you can always ask just as you did in this post. As someone else posted, do you have a support system? That is always helpful to get you through those hard times.
  11. Lol haha don't be. You'll get there too.
  12. Two and a half years and I lost 81 pounds.
  13. Yes it does get better. I just went to social gatherings prepared. I brought my protein shake and drank tea and water. When I was invited out to eat, I ordered off the appetizer menu and ordered my Margarita. You can socialize and enjoy your life. Even at work. Yes, I ate and still eat cake. Do I eat a whole piece? No ma'am. I take a tiny piece and eat. You don't have to deprive yourself.
  14. Oh most definitely. Everyday is a different day. Some mornings I can wake up starving even though I'm not and eat a little bit all day. Other days I can awake and just be like blah!!! It's weird but you get used to it. Just go with what your body tells you.
  15. Two and half years. I have osteoarthritis so I can't do power workouts like many people here can. I did do water exercises and some walking when I could. I now ride my bicycle not a lot but when I feel like it.
  16. Oh my goodness. That is amazing. You look great. Congratulations.
  17. Yes it has. I was a 22W and now I'm in a 10 to 12 depending on how the outfit is made and the material.
  18. Oh wow congratulations! How exciting.
  19. Exactly what I was thinking....
  20. Wow! That is truly amazing. Congratulations to you. Isn't it a great feeling?
  21. I am. It is a great feeling. I feel so accomplished now.
  22. Good luck. Can't wait to hear how you are doing.
