  1. I was even told that after a few yrs of being banded that the fluid actually evaporates some therefore a fill will be needed.
  2. Unfortunately this is part of the process. Feeling restriction doesn't happen overnight or in the first couple of months for many bandsters. However there are some whom it does but for most of us, we don't feel restriction until after several fills. Good luck.
  3. So go out. Enjoy yourself. Have soup and drink tea.
  4. Awesome!!! Welcome to banderland!!!! Happy healing.
  5. Sorry to hear that. Praying things will work out for you. Best wishes.
  6. Way to go!!!!! Congratulations on starting over.
  7. Because I'm an educator, I make sure I plan my procedures around our breaks either during spring break, summer, or in the case with my band, at Christmas break so I had two weeks of recovery. I wasn't trying to rush into things. It took me every bit of a week or so to recover.
  8. I haven't experienced what you're going through but will say just take it one day at a time. Keep following your doctor's orders and remember to chew, chew, chew. Good luck and you will get there.
  9. My highest weight ever was 242 pounds but that was well over 10 years ago. I count my weight by the first appointment I had before I began the pre-op diet which was a month before my surgery.
  10. I mostly mixed my powdered drinks with water. You can also use your favorite low calorie juice.
  11. To answer your question, the answer is yes, you can eat pasta and sandwiches. Many of us choose not to though.
  12. Wow! You would think people in such a capacity to make a change would be a bit more sensitive. I guess no matter how long you go to school to obtain a degree, it doesn't change one's personality. What a but-hole!!!!! I'm glad he at least had the decency to suggest you see another surgeon. Glad it turned out well for you. Good luck.
  13. Yes ma'am everyday. Can't live without it.
  14. That's great!!! Keep up the great work.
  15. Congratulations and best wishes
  16. That's great. Wishing you well.
  17. Hi there. I'm still doing as if I'm trying to lose. I still eat within 800-1000 calories. Each day is different. I did not get an unfill because I want to keep the restriction that I have. If I were unfilled, I would gain weight for sure and I'm certainly not trying to do that. Good luck.
  18. Not sure, I think most of us was too scared to move on further before time.
  19. Well you go girl!!!! Keep up the good work.
  20. Congratulations on making a decision that will improve your life. Thanks for the compliments and welcome. Good luck with your surgery.
  21. Sorry that the band didn't work for you as it should. Thanks for sharing this information. Best wishes
