  3. Sounds like you're in the green zone finally. Hope it works out for you now. Good luck.
  4. Sorry buy I've always drank with my food. Can't eat without my water.
  5. Yes, it's pretty normal after a fill. You have to just remember to take really small bites.
  6. I'm three yrs post op and my stomach does not growl as I've read many others here does. Don't recall when it stopped.
  7. Wow!! Good topic. Lots of "diet" pills I've waisted money on throughout the years. I did ww with coworkers and was successful for a while. I changed jobs, moved, had no support system so stopped the program. Then I began quick weight loss centers and was successful with it. Stopped going because I couldn't afford to continuously buy the supplements and food which I did enjoy. Last but not least I tried one box of nutrasystem and wish I hadn't of wasted my money. That was some nasty tasting food.
  8. Aww thank you so much.
  9. I know. It's pretty amazing isn't it??? Purchasing clothing in smaller sizes. Just awesome!!!!
  10. I'm not getting an unfill. I like things just as they are.
  11. Most definitely!!! Thank you for understanding. It's still very hard maintaining. It is not easy. food is a daily struggle for me. If I didn't have this band, I know I would be dead right now. I couldn't have made it this far without it.
  12. Sending blessings your way.
  13. Maybe she didn't mean to hurt my feelings but I wish you could have heard the way she asked like having surgery is a disease or something.
  14. Hmm, interesting observation, never thought of it like that. Thanks
  15. Okay so yesterday was President's Day and we had a workshop to attend. So my meeting was with other fourth and fifth grade teachers. So I ran into one of my old coworkers that used to work at my school. She hadn't seen me since I had my surgery over three years ago. She: "Wow! You've lost a lot of weight." Me: "Yes I did. 90 pounds." She: "What did you do?" Me: "I had surgery." (all excited and smiling) She: "You needed surgery for that?????" Okay so I felt like crap then said, "Yes, I had too much fat around my heart. It was a life or death situation. My doctor asked me if I want to live or die. So I decided to live." Then, I walked away politely by saying excuse me. This is the first time I felt well, I don't know how I feel. Maybe a little hurt. I wasn't expecting that reaction from her. She isn't small herself. I"m just venting here because I am still annoyed by it. I know I shouldn't be, but I am nonetheless.
  16. That is not true!!!! I have been banded for over three years now and whey protein is the ONLY thing I have and still use. I've lost 90 pounds and lots of inches.
