  2. Yes, that is true, however if your doc said to eat, then eat as he suggested. Best wishes
  3. Interesting concept but true.
  4. Yes, but not on a regular basis.
  5. Wonderful and congratulations!!!
  6. happy bandiversary
  7. Actually that is a lot. Two ring sizes. Awesome!!!!
  8. I have to honestly say that I believe so. It's not as cold here in Texas as it is where you are, but it's colder than normal and I have noticed for about two to three weeks now that I've been a bit tighter than usual. I do drink coffee before having anything to eat including my Protein shakes because they are cold from the ice and almond milk I mix it with. After an hour or so (midmorning), I'm okay.
  9. Same here especially since your doctor is trying. I hope he/she can find a solution. Best wishes
  10. I agree with 2muchfun. I would even suggest only eating 3 oz of meat rather than 4-5 especially if you wish to eat veggies. Good luck and be careful.
  11. All I can say is to measure your food with your meals being no more than 4 oz total. A lot of people use myfitnesspal to track how many calories they are eating as well. You should stay within 800-1000 calories if you possibly can. Have cheese sticks handy and protein bars for a snack. Good luck.
  12. Yes, it's in the general wls section of the website.
  13. Yes, but it no longer exists. That's where I was posting and keeping up with my journey. That's why I'm on here now because they deleted that part of the website.
  14. You look great!!! Definitely younger looking.

I agree. The original message was about mj was it not????? My point in posting was to side with not against the original poster to let her know that I was not offended by what she said.

So when I read through the original message, I honestly didn't take offense because I understood exactly what she was saying. While African American is the politically correct term to use for those of us considered "black" even though I'm brown and multiracial, I personally don't like to be called African anything. I was born and raised right here in the USA. I don't know anything about being African as that is a whole other continent with different cultures of people. To the original poster, sorry that your choice of words are being challenged but the more politically correct term we now use to refer to individuals who are not white/Caucasian is people of color. I'm an educator and that is what we teach our students to say. Hope this sheds a little light to some of you.

I have no problems with rice. I try not eat it on a regular though but I do have a few forkfuls from time to time.
