  5. You have lost 138 pounds and feeling down? Stop that its crazy!!!!!! Amazing job. The band is tool, use it and feel proud.
  6. I have been walking everyday for the past 3 weeks. I have the pedometer + app on the iPhone. Its been a constant push to beat my last score ( I consider it a game). Yesterday I decided after work I would walk to my brothers for the first time. He lives 1.3 miles away. I walked there and then decided ok I can easily walk back. Once I got home I decided to keep going. At a certain point a realized I was approaching a 10K and then kept going. These last 4.5 months have been an adventure. Honestly I am having the time of my life. Still have plenty of weight to lose but am completely determined. Its no longer about the weight but about getting in the best shape possible. Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
  7. Dr Geiss was great as was his staff. I had lap band with plication 4 months ago. Down 65 pounds. All my eating and exercising habits have changed. Whatever they did, something certainly changed in me. I wouldn't give a second thought about choosing there team. Any questions please contact me. Best of luck!
  8. Never walked, ran, or exercised before. Just didn't have the desire or right attitude about health. I downloaded pedometer + for iPhone a few weeks back and just kept pushing myself. Over the last week, I saw my miles go up and said lets shoot for 26.2 over 5 days. Well I have completed the goal as of this morning. Have a great weekend everyone!

  13. The last 3 1/2 months have been very inspiring. I have completely changed my eating and drinking habits. Where I used to crave fast food non stop, now I think about what to put in my next salad. I can;t wait to hit 75 pounds gone, then 100 pounds gone!!!!!!!

  19. I had lap band with plication on Feb 26. I am down 51 pounds as of this morning. Honestly I can say this is the best thing I ever did for myself. I may get hit by a car tomorrow but today I feel like I gave myself life. Good luck to everyone on there journey!

  21. I had lap band with plication almost 7 weeks ago. So far I have lost 42 pounds and feel great. More energy then I ever remember and nice to be able to run around with kids a bit more. I have a long way to go but feeling very good.
  22. So today was my 39th birthday. I got diagnosed with flu. Fun way to spend a birthday. I actually had a flu shot but they said it was a different strain, Now on 5 medicines. In good news I am down 40 pounds since I began my prep-op diet only 5 weeks ago. Thats really incredible. I fit in to a size 44 jeans today. I have been wearing 50+ for quite a long time. I have not had a fill yet. March 28th is my first scheduled fill.
  23. Had my steri strips and stitches removed and given the go ahead for mushies. I had 3oz egg salad. Low fat mayo, little shredded cheese, and hot sauce. A few minutes ago, I had 4 tablespoons of hummus. Wow, enjoying today. Funny the differences in 3 weeks ago and today. Down 34 pounds total.
  24. Best of luck and hang in there. 6 days postop and everything is slowly getting better. I 100% agree this is and was not such an easy procedure. There is definitely a needed recovery period.
  25. Just weighed myself and below 300 for first time in probably 6 years. 5 days after being banded and feeling ok. Not great but not bad. I did have a delirious Peanut Butter cookie Metrix shake. I had them from a sample pack and need to order more immediately. Going to have some hot and sour Soup strained tomorrow. Curious about spice right now.

I am having surgery Lapband with plication this Wednesday. So happy I just found this thread.
  27. Congrats. I am getting banded the same day. Good luck!
  28. I had all my pre-surgery testing done yesterday. In just over a week, I somehow lost 18 pounds. Crazy, but lets face it eating 500 calories a day of Soup and shakes is quite different from what my body was normally used to. The first 4-5 days was pretty bad. Honestly, I was dreaming of Wendy's, McDonalds, Burger King, Nathans, etc... Day 9, feeling pretty good. Tomorrow I have my final sign off with my main doctor and surgery next Wednesday.
